If you guys are looking for a more compressed butane, look up the ST dupont lighter butane. Its a MUCH smaller cartridge and is compressed at a different psi than standard butane. It also is threaded on the nozel which may help with stability for you. Make sure to look into it as there are different levels of compressuon and different nozel sizes for their butane!

@ShannonDove-sy7ye 11 ай бұрын
@@michaelhartman2645 ok, so you're talking about a different kind of butane. I could be wrong, but I suspect that the energy density is going to be almost the same. Meaning that one liter of either kind of butane is probably going to be the same amount of calories. I will look it up later tonight and see. For higher energy density they could try a heavy product such as diesel or wax, but they would have trouble vaporizing or atomizing it, and of course wax would have to be kept heated to liquid.

Hey I’ve got some really great news to share with you, Jesus Christ, the Son of God, died on a cross and resurrected on the third day so you may all have eternal life. If you believe and repent of your sins and put your faith and trust in Him as you would a parachute jumping off a plane at 25000 feet up in the air, He will give you eternal life in heaven as a free gift and I promise you, He will change your life forever as He did mine. He is the ONLY way to heaven and He loves you all. Please think deeply about this with urgency because this is your eternal life and soul, you don’t know when you could die, meaning you could die at any moment, so please consider this with all your heart. If anyone tells you that Jesus isn’t the only way, they are lying to you and they don’t care about your future.

Well light saber & laser sword are basically the same thing, although both names don't really match the tech behind those from the Star Wars lore. Sabers are just a sub-category of swords, and the terms laser or light could both mean the same cuz both are forms of light. However, as those things actually emit energy that ionizes the air around it, it changes the air molecules' physical state into plasma. That means that technically, it's a plasma sword, while emitting light as a form of energy radiation.

Hi, I was very intrigued by this project of yours, and this came to mind last night. according to how star wars lightsabers work, when the blades slam, it's not actually a real blow, because in reality they repel each other because all those lightsabers have the same charge. so you could try implementing a magnetic bar inside the plasma beam so that when two blades are close together they repel each other. Thank you for your attention to this comment if you are reading.
@Dublin_N
@Dublin_N Жыл бұрын
Interesting idea but heat destroys magnetism. The highest temperature you can reach with a material staying magnetic is elemental cobalt at ~1000 °C. Also, they can't put anything in the flame because it disrupts the flowing gas that makes the "blade" so nicely shaped. They talked about it in the QnA video.

the physics of a lightsaber come from the magnetic field that contains the plasma, but i dont know if those physics apply in real life (for instance, if it was magnetic specifically it'd have some funky effects near metals, and i dont think they'd clash but either attract each other or, more likely, repel each other violently, preventing contact for more than a second) and it'd be really hard to contain the plasma in a magnetic field produced by something that fits into a lightsaber hilt anyways, at least with our current tech

Watching you cut the copper plating gave me an idea: what if you produced the blade by combining a set of cutting lasers to form a cylinder? Possible to maybe even direct the laser beams through a crystal of some type cut the right way? And the emitting end of the blade would have a cap "stopper" that limits the length of the blade and is connected to a rectractble collapsing extension system attached to a tiny motor that is offset to one side of the blade, so it would a "one sided" blade much like a katana, and, assuming the extension system was of the correct material, would allow for actual sword combat too. And have the cap be attached to extesion arm via an electronically controlled hinge to allow the blade to "stab" through things temporarily. Could even have a gyro system set up to detect a stabbing motion and automatically temporarily open the cap.

@@laughingcloud3516 In Star Wars Rebels, they showed Temple Guards (the inquisitor they had to deal with used to be one) who were armed with lightsaber pikes, and even their blade was the same color as this project's 'blade'.

@@MonkeyJedi99 the temple guards used dual bladed lightsabers in the cartoons, not pikes. Though they often didn't ignite both ends, which resulted in use similar to a pike or long-handled swords, like the nagamaki. Their bladed are also yellow, whereas this pike appears to be blue. Many of the rakatan in legends however, did use saber pikes.
