We Built a DIY camera rig on a 70MPH E-bike

Shooting cinematic chase scene footage is nearly impossible without expensive car rigs. Most people use GoPros, but let’s be honest… GoPro footage doesn’t look that good.
Here’s how we made a high voltage ebike for capturing those sweet sweet action shots!

Finally another high voltage build i see ! High voltage setups are so underrated . I run 32s 120v with a 250amp controller and its a fucking rocket. Hope you have a blast on ur new setup!

@@xJayteee great looking stealth bomber build. Two quick questions: 1 - Which Controller are you using? (I’m the Far Driver Sales Director in the EU and NA) 2 - What’s the Dual Caliper like in the rear?

@@earthling7011 I'm using the Yuyangking 120250 , That's 60v-120volts and 250 battery amps , Squarewave. It's ok to be honest , mainly for looks imho , as there's only so much braking you can apply to the rear before it locks up. I only did that as a motorbike fork is way too heavy on the front which is normally good , but i live in an apartment so i have to wheelie the bike up in order to fit in a lift

@@xJayteee oh ok thanks for taking the time to explain your build decisions. It looked like a Yuyang but I couldn’t be sure until you verified. I have built a bike with a similar controller - the 120150. My unbiased opinion is that the Yuayang is well built and reliable. They also have a decent Bluetooth app. It’s a shame there is no regen in these models. I do like the sound the square wave produces in the engine. That said the far driver controllers are superior in every way. The sound is different it’s quieter but I find it to be a more subtle and futuristic sound. The efficiency is night and day. The power is tremendous without the two stroke like on/off of the square wave but steady torque like a big twin. One more question if you don’t mind before I recommend a suitable and very beneficial upgrade: 1 - what battery model/config are you using? If you let me know the max continuous bus amps I can recommend a far driver model that will increase your range, your top speed and most importantly your high speed cruising efficiency. You’ll find the pricing very reasonable and surprisingly comparable to the Yuyang square wave models. Plus - you’ll save a lot of weight using regen with abs once you remove that dual caliper arrangement cheers!

Excellent video! So with the stock ONYX motor, battery, and just a new controller you can hit 67mph? My goal is just to hit 60mph without too many mods.

I think the stock voltage [not stock battery, needs more amperage] with the upgraded controller should do 70mph or so

Hi Arhur how's it going? A trike huh that sounds like a really interesting build - I can absolutely help with that. I have a few questions for you to ensure a proper setup for your build: 1 - How many of the wheels were you planning to power? 2 - What battery were you going to power the system? 3 - Is your priority range/ high cruising speed or acceleration and high torque?

@@earthling7011 well this currently my issue decision for the usage 3 wheel custom build it will carry weight sort of speaking around 220lbs so I'd like to get 50mph with this one I'm also building a custom car build similar to a go cart but bigger scale I've been. Looking at quad e trycles and again unsure of what to use love to hear your views
