I wish I had the courage to try to do upgrades myself. It just overwhelms me for some reason. I had no trouble with hooking up 7.1 surround sounds to those huge pioneer receivers in the past. Or taking apart electronics to fix them in the past. Speakers, consoles, wiring, etc. But for some reason these PC's just intimidate the hell out of me. I am a high end mason who builds beautiful fireplaces, stone walls and patios. I am also a plasterer and taper. I do finish carpentry also. I renovate these million dollar mansions in the northwest hills of Connecticut. But when it comes to these PC's I am scared to death! WTF is wrong with me? Lol. Anyways it was another amazing tutorial Dan! I always love watching your videos! Beautiful job rebuilding that PC. I hope you and your family are well!

Hey! I didn’t know that about you and that’s awesome. Doing work like that takes incredible skill, very impressive. Wonder why PC’s scare you so much?! 😆 I’ve been a mechanic for my whole life so taking things apart is 2nd nature for me. Hope you and your family are well too 👍🏻

@@DanKamYouKnow I love my career. I work alone 95% of the time too. I work for many famous people. Never see them much, maybe once in a blue moon, but I do have the keys and codes to their homes. :) I saw a couple videos of you at work. I find mechanics to be some of the most intelligent and fascinating people I have ever met in my life. Explains why your brilliance as a mechanic transfers over to working on PC's flawlessly. I don't know a thing about car or truck engines, etc. That overwhelms me also. None of that makes sense to me. I always appreciate you taking the time to respond. You are a great dude Dan! Thank you.

That’s awesome and thank you! I am grateful to be out of the Technician side of the Automotive business but learned so many valuable skills. Thanks for sharing my dude 🤝😎👍🏻

Oh what a pain but glad to hear that it worked out in the end! Thankfully my Asus ROG Strix B450-F motherboard has not given me issues. I am thinking of going for 32GB of the Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 3200MHz RAM later on, hopefully there will be no difficulties!

I like how it's a different case and not a Nzxt case or a o11 not that it's a problem but cool to see something different other than either of those 2 cases
@DanKamYouKnow3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, love his Fractal case. I have the smaller version that his 👍🏻👍🏻
@IRavencro3 жыл бұрын
Might have to consider that case when building a new setup in the future

Awesome case to build in and a TON of room. Also came with a built in fan controller too 👍🏻

I have 3600mhz Corsair Vengeance RGB Ram in a Asus Strix B550 motherboard. Works perfectly!
@DanKamYouKnow3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, per the advice of the ASUS support line, we checked the compatibility list for his RAM and it wasn't on there ( for his specific X570 board ). It wasn't a RAM issue though so I'm sure the Corsair RAM he returned would of worked just fine.

Always always always build and test the PC out of the case 1st to make sure everything works. :)

But I also have a Ryzen 3700x so that probably saved me from all the greif

Yeah, 3xxx series CPU’s will boot up with no issues. So strange.

I was thinking of getting this exact motherboard. Does it have to be a Ryzen 3xxx series in order for it to work? I have a Ryzen 1600 AF in my old PC.
@DanKamYouKnow3 жыл бұрын
I think you’ll be OK but I would double check. You only need to do the method we did if you’re going to a 5xxx series Ryzen CPU

For picking out parts while on a budget, pcpartspicker.com will help you out a lot. There are also a good amount of pre-builds for around $1,000 too
