This song hits hard, I started listening to WCAR since To Plant a seed so I basically grew up listening to them.. 2009 I was 16 and now I'm 30 so yes, it's hard seeing this Kyle we miss your voice.

Kyle needed serious psychological and substance abuse help, and the funny thing about that, is that science provides those tools, not "god". This young man lost a horrible battle to addiction, your god doesn't fix those. If anything, we were born in "his image", no?, so he gave us incurable, lifelong disease because what, he could? It would lead us to him? Give us character? No.

What a song. "Promise Me" from _Cold Like War_ has that chorus "will I be remembered or will I be lost in loving eyes?" Thanks to this song, we now have the answer. Kyle forever indeed, he'll be remembered by all of us. Fantastic work as always, WCAR, you should all be proud.

It was sad because when someone writes a lyric like this, it's not because they're happy. Kyle had been hurting for a long time. I think he had a God-shaped hole in his heart, and he looked everywhere but God to fill it. This is the tragedy of our times. May God have mercy on his soul. 🙏

Then I see Paxton Powell did the video, my mom was a Powell from home. My husband found this song, I have been having a horrible time here lately and last night my husband told me to listen to this song. WCAR was my one my gateways into the various hardcore and metal genres. When I first got into post-hardcore, I couldn't stand any harsh vocals, but I was still drown in because I loved the how the cleans sounded against heavier instrumentals. Kyles voice really epitomized that feeling of angelic singing versus chonky instruments. Slowly over a few year, the heavier genres started sounding better and better. Thank you Kyle, for making one more metalhead.

Wow... I lost my father on August 25, and every fucking line to this song speaks to me. Grief tends to make you feel secluded and alone, but when I hear and see such a beautiful song, it reminds me that Im not alone. For anyone wondering what Kyle’s saying in the sample of his voice near the end it’s from a bus invaders episode where he’s sitting in the back in his underwear for a funny skit they were making Andy: “That’s my guitar dude! My grandma gave this to me!” Kyle: “I’m sitting here writing a new record!” Andy: “IT’S ALREADY WRITTEN!” Kyle: “SO?! We can have TWO records! They’re all really funny dudes and this really coveys the laughs and good times they all shared. A great way to remember a brother. P.s. This song gets me. I loved it when I first heard it, and love it even more after seeing this video. Fear is the most debilitating emotion, and Kyle didn’t deserve to die from it. It reminds me of my friend Nick, who committed suicide. Fear and, it’s cousin, depression ravage so many souls. I know Nick was a kind soul because I would have nervous, emotional breakdowns and he would almost smash down my metal dorm room door to get to me and take me out of the building, whether it was to get food or just walk/drive around town to figure out what I was so afraid of/upset about. I wish I would’ve spoken up to him. Nick and Kyle will be in my heart forever.
