He truly was an amazing guy. After my mother passed in 05 I found this band and their music. They always played shows in my hometown. I went to a show that following year and broke down in the crowd. Kyle stopped the show pulled me to the side and talked to me like a real human. And ever since then when they came to town we always got together and talked about life.

I found this description of these videos that was apparently shared by WCAR (when they first came out i guess). I always felt like these three songs told a progressive story and I felt they were cleverly arranged in the album to show that progression. "The three videos we shot portray a person lost, confused and struggling to find purpose in life. He sees himself at his darkest in the first video, trying endlessly to find his way out. After going through a traumatic experience, he finds his way out and his eyes begin to open to a new journey of finding out what really makes him feel alive. Through this journey the man traces back to his childhood house, where it all began. Overwhelming feelings wash over him as he remembers the feeling he once had long ago. Now, with a sense of purpose, he embarks back into the world to take the path he should have taken long ago"

I used to play an online game called S4 League. I watched all kind of S4 League Montages on KZbin in 2011-2012. Somebody used this song in one of those videos and it’s been in my music Library ever since. I decided today to look up this song on KZbin because I really wanted to see the face to the voice I've been listening to for the last ten years. Turns out that he passed away and I'm heartbroken.. Long live

All the lights, Were too bright to see the spark That I've been missing for too long. Something I've been missing for too long. My empty cup, Could never fill another. I have spilled all I've had, To make things better. But the love of all others, Has made me new. My empty cup, Could never (because of you) fill another. (I am made new) I have spilled all I've had, (Because of you) to make things better. (I am made new) We've all been broken So let us make each other new. So let us make each other new. I've died inside every time I tried To lie to myself about feeling alive, alive. To lie to myself about feeling alive, alive. (I've died) All the lights, Were too bright to see the spark That I've been missing for too long. Something I've been missing for too long. All these distractions, Kept me from seeing what I needed all along, An understanding. I am speechless tonight As I stare into the sky. I feel endless compassion, forgiveness, and love, I feel everyone who is looking up sharing this, I feel unexplainably alive. I need to understand what we've grown to be. Tonight, when I look into the sky I know this is why I am alive. Tonight, when I look into the sky I know this is why I am alive. So sing with me if you feel this feeling. So sing with me if you feel this feeling. I'm alive.

Damn, this band helps with my depression a lot. And so does A Day To a Remember! Sometimes I get so low to where I wonder if I should be here but, those lyrics "TONIGHT WHEN I LOOK INTO THE SKY I KNOW THIS IS WHY I AM ALIVE!" Help me out a lot. Fuck metal elitists who say "bands don't save lives" yeah they do! And I'm sure bands like Amon Amarth/Nightwish have saved lives as well.
@Lil123Jonnie9 жыл бұрын
I'm not a Metal Elitist BUT the band's don't save lives. You saved yourself! They weren't there to stop you from pulling the trigger, cutting yourself, drinking/ swallowing pills, bleach etc.. It's all you and will always be you, they're words help you through tough times, but they didn't personally didn't save you. Don't let anyone ever take that from you. Again, I'm not an Elitist but you have yourself to thank, they just helped talk you through it! Have a good Night.
