I remember you & Diesel Dave doing a good deed to another family in the fall, which shows good things happen when you help others in need. I can relate to running a flatbed empty as I did 5 years of near Toronto to Vancouver which was loaded outbound & mty return because of licencing issues. Not fun in the winters in Canada. God bless the good you do for others as it will come tenfold.

Hey JAX awesome video. You worked your butt off to truck hay from Pangtown to MT and film it all too! So much in common here man. We are doing the same kinda math here. Tons per day x days till grass= will it ever 🌧 I know Jared self made real cool guy. Paid my fees at a ropin once. Overheated on bearvally once heading to Panguitch with the whole family in the truck. Hope your ranch and all your other endeavors are blessed. You deserve it⚓️🐂🙏🌧

I only have two horses to feed and the stress has been real this year! I had a small emotional meltdown over hay not that long ago. Three years ago my pasture was flooded, today I’m grateful and feel blessed for every drop that lands on the ground here in MT. Here’s to the great hay saga of 21 coming to an end and cheers to a sea of green in 22! From your “neighbor” in Comanche.

Your a very humble God fearing man don’t let the kindness of real men like Jared go unnoticed he obviously is a great friend and did you a solid because he can. Please don’t let the arm chair haters of this world stop your acts of kindness towards others. Jesus reveals himself in many forms when things seem impossible He always finds a way to take care of His followers. Imagine if Jesus wasn’t in your life and your family’s how hard and desperate things would feel with no where to turn. There are many friends you’ve never met that are praying your area gets the rain it needs to carry on ranching. God bless yours and Jared’s family.

Soft maple trees might be a good answer for you, the common soft maple trees that grow wild in the Midwest are very fast growing and the "helicopter" seeds they drop sprout very easily and quickly. Their leaves are packed full of sugar and nutrition and nutrients. They make a great deal of leaves on the ground during fall and make leaves early spring and and summer even during very low rainfall. My calves love eating them and would choose them over anything else. If you planted them in rows, you could in the fall use big blower behind tractor and blow out to the open a bale the leaves, and during dry summers you can cut down so many a day for fresh forage and the cows will strip the trunks clean (the trunks can then be cut for firewood). If planted in rows you can cut and bale hay between the rows and it gives a very good wind break also. Yes it's unconventional, yes it sounds a little out of the box thinking. But I've seen enough of your videos to know you will explore this line of thought and make use of it. There is zero downside and plenty of benefits. The leaf blower for tractors sell used all the time on gov deals and don't bring much money. I have tons of soft maple starts all over my place that you are certainly welcome to. Be Blessed.

Not gonna lie, that hammer moment was extremely satisfying to watch 😄 Man, I'm glad the State of Pennsylvania finally stated that indeed, you are you. Bureaucracy is such a disaster and often makes zero sense. "I'm not Jason" ..."Sir, the system says you are so you must be" oooook then 😅 I really hope the grass will keep growing and things will get better. It's really not easy to be a rancher, sometimes things are out of your control. Sending positive vibes your ways!

Anyway yeah sometimes it’s hard thing too except a helping hand because you’ve been on the other side and thinking that it won’t happen too you or come close too you but God takes care of everyone if you believe or not there’s always someone or something out there waiting too lend a helping hand that I believe in and always will . But that said it’s great too see you back on the old homestead and doing well . Love the video and hopefully the snow has melted and the cattle are eating green grass . See you on the flip side. Excellent words, brother! I had that same conversation with a friend recently. She needed a specific type of help. Someone was freely offering the help she needed, and she was turning them down. I said "We're called to serve and help one another. Everything belongs to God. If He puts it on someone's heart to offer help, and we turn them down, are we cheating them out of the blessing?" It's only pride that says "No, I'm fine." But we all deal with that also. I'm glad for both of you (and the cows) that you chose wisdom over pride. God will bless him for his good deeds. We can't outgive God. 🥰🙏 I'm glad you had a safe trip. Running empty on snow and ice is no fun. I've done my share.

Similar situation happened to my ex wife's cousin. She just got out of the hospital, got stopped by cop, ran background check, a woman with the same 1st and last name came up with warrants for robbery. My ex's cousin was white, the other woman was black. Cop told her it was her, took her to jail, and bc she had needle marks from IVs, told her it was track marks. Wouldn't listen to or believe her that she just got out of the hospital and he had the wrong person, wouldn't listen to her husband or dad. Kept her in jail for over 24 hours, all the time denying her life saving medication. Cop told her he would find something on her. Her husband finally got in touch with his major, cop got a good *ss chewing and told the cop to release her. They filed a lawsuit against the deputy and sheriff's dept and they are now living comfortably. 😅

I appreciate the fact that you share the good and acts of kindness. Giving or receiving. #1: it's good to know there's still good people in this world that want to help and do good things. Without this, the world seems bitter, cold and self-centered. #2: I find the negative Nancys in the world are just jealous they are not on the receiving end of things or are so near-sighted they can't accept that there are still people that get a sense of fulfillment, enjoyment and satisfaction when they can just help someone even if you hardly know them (or a complete stranger or even a long-time friend).

Ya'll don't keep feeding hay in early spring to keep them from getting the green grass runs, don't know better way to put it. But they hay gives them something solid to hold on to , and slow the digestive system down, and it definitely helps keep weight on them this time of year. The yellow glasses were originally shooters glasses, because of the reasons you stated. They bring everything into a clearer visual focus, and help reduce glare off bright objects. But if they bring out you're inner best, then by all means wear them wherever and wherever you want. It's still a free country for a while longer I'm hoping, and maybe if the people of America get their act together, it will remain so far into the future.

@@realwildwildwest btw, I meant to ask where ya'll were recording at, Dallas or Austin. One my crews installed the a/c system in Charlie Prides studio back in the 80's, and I have designed a couple more for musician friends of mine that do a lotta stuff for PBS, and commercial advertising. I guess I'll have to look ya'll up, and see what you got goin on. Seems like I seen some of your solo work on DBro's. Sorry long winded ole men are a pain I know, because I am one. Take care young man, and your right about couple things that are at the top of the list. Family comes before any an all things. Giving to others less fortunate than yourself does your heart good, and being humble enough to accept it when you really need it is a hard thing to do, especially if you're usually the one giving, but it never hurts a man to be grateful that someone thinks enough of him to offer it to you. Because you know just as soon as your able, you'll be the first to offer it to someone deserving of your offer. That's because that's what country folks do, even if we don't have it to spare. We'll still give even if we have to do without ourselves in order to help someone else that is in need. Excellent message you put out there, and maybe it'll remind folks that's how it's supposed to be It's how I was raised, and raised mine to be the same way, to this day they both say yes ma'am and mind there manners respectfully to others as they should be. Take care and I'll try not to bother you further, and hope it warmed up and the grass and clover belly high on them calves

even just waching another driver driving through snow and bad roads it makes me nervous, having all sorts of old memories pop up of trucking trough some bad stuff. worst night mare being one time coming out of winnipeg manitoba with a first trip new truck and trailer, getting into moosejaw saskatuwan, got into a hard core winter storm, the road covered with snow and bad glare ice spots, was hoping along around 50 miles perhour, and i feel the trail;er swap directions, the wind blew the trailer about 45 degrees to the tractor. that was when i called it and pulled into moosejaw and stayed for 2 days until the storm passed. once back out there on the road i never in my life driving had i ever seen so many vehicals and trucks in the ditches, and trucks and trailers laying on their sides for a 50 mile streach. so i was so happy i laidover for the couple days.

Loved the trip you brought us on, the views and the stories and bits of "rancher/trucker advice". Seems to me there is a passage in the Bible that says, "do unto others as you would have them do unto you". I should think that includes acts of kindness and "paying it forward". The world would be a better place if we all tried to practice that philosophy in any small way that we can. Thank you for this.

🇺🇸 I have a idea of how hard that was to, NOT the "THANK YOU" in anyway, but to open up about the humbleness of the moment. Like you for most of my life I've been on the other side of giving. This past Christmas an anonymous donor paid for $250 worth of heating oil for my wife and I. I had to ask but the oil dealer wouldn't give up the donor's name, none of my friends would own it so I was left leaving an "anonymous" a thank you on Facebook, hard to do! The best part was, we're not rich we get by, we .didn't "need" that financially but it gave me such an emotional boost it turned my Christmas heck my life back around ❤! Even inspired me to do some Christmasy things myself☃️. THANK YOU for sharing and God bless y'all 🙏

I really wish I could have sent you some of our rain. Here in central IL we've been getting some I much rain that the farmer who rents both of our farms hasn't even gotten into any of the fields. Early last week he spread the fertilizer they hauled in on the north field last fall then we got rain for the next three days. They hauled a ton of manure in last winter from his beef cattle so they are just waiting for the fields to dry enough so they can turnover the soil and plant.

"Hay" Jax you have "paid it forward" so many times in the sort time you've been on YT (just by being on YT) & no doubt many times before YT. The world needs more genuine, nice, humble people like yourself and your family. Keep up the great content &🤞you all weather the storm & stay safe. Pay it forward. This is a reference to the title phrase of the book by Catherine Ryan Hyde. In the book the phrase is used as the opposite of payback: when someone does a good dead for you, instead of paying them back, pay it forward by doing a good deed for someone else.

“Give generously to them and do so without a grudging heart; then because of this the Lord your God will bless you in all your work and in everything you put your hand to.” (Deuteronomy 15:10 NIV) It is written over and over again in the Bible that God blesses those who are generous. Reminds me of this song. "You can't out give the Lord no matter what you do, You'll find out in the end He's still outgiving you, your silver and your gold, your love and service too, you can't out give the Lord no matter what you do." Not my song, author unknown. I've had Montana, Wyoming, Utah, Kansas etc in my prayers for rain.

Just remember what ya put out, ya do get back , so it's smart to make sure ya do good. Which I know ya do. Karma deals with those who don't use their times to do good. Blessings big a small are when others give to those who need it. So smile yall are winners with blessings & inspiring to others. What an incredibly humbling ending, I am the same when it comes to accepting help, I've always been the guy to be the one to help others but over the last few years I've had to come to terms with the fact I need help sometimes 😬

Jax - random acts are necessary and are rewarded in many ways. The best rewards are your family and the internal feelings of appreciation that no one else can see. Haters are haters and seem to have a need to hate, don't let that bother you, thank them for their hate and ignore them they will continue to hate and you will give them the opportunity to view your cheeks of which you have 4! In this instance a non reaction will be the only kindness you can show, walk away. I hope and pray that the pendulum of hate and joy swings the other way. We are all connected keep the faith in the good of humanity. Don't forget ......."what you do for the least.........".......

I had that same problem with a person in Chicago, Illinois. Had the same name and birth date. What made it worse I was born in Chicago. I was lucky my sister worked for certain government agencies in Chicago and was able to get it taken care of.

Hats off to Jared. Bummer you ran out of hay. But you made it safe driving on those bad roads. It was a beautiful ride. The drone footage was excellent! I been watching James Topps marching from BC to Ottawa and that storm hit him. Bad wind. Good water for the ground tho. Thanks Jax's, that was a great video.

Oh, Jax.. "Makin' hay while the sun shines" becomes really serious! I've prayed every day for your rains to come. Us Aussies understand drought only too well, and I committed your plight to the Lord - and I trust that He will continue to take care of your situation. I know you are God's people..I can just tell, so trust the Lord to keep bringing cost-effective solutions your way until He makes your grass grow.. The cattle will be so happy to see fresh grsss too! But you always help others when you can - and I know you don't expect your own acts of kindness to be repaid.. But isn't it amazing grace when they are returned by someone else! We know that you don't post news of your many kindnesses for pats on the back, but to share the seeds of your message with others in the hope that they will find fertile ground and take root. God bless you and your family for that, and close the dialogue box for the naysayers! So keep on ranchin, and truckin' and singin' - whilst you take the very best care out there. I'm thinking of you and your beautiful family, and praying for you too 🙏🏻✝️ Much love from your Aussie friend, Janell. XX❤️💕❤️ 🇦🇺❤️🇺🇲 PS - I can't wait for the album!

Depends on how much snow your on before trying to back under it still might have to raise the trailer to keep from pushing it back or even hitting the front of it and breaking gladhands with the tongues of the fithwheel and if the wheels lost air and the ground is frozen you might push the trailer and bend the landing gears forward too but that usually only happens of it is loaded and it slides backwards. That time of the year I never went anywhere without chains, even in the Spring and Fall in the higher elevations. MT & WY for sure. I kept chains on a lot longer when going in those states or into Canada. I was thinking that was a pretty good clip your were making going down that road empty too. But I can't feel what's up by looking at it or if there is salt or gravel on the road or if it was put on and frozen in the snow and ice so it acts like blacktop either. or hitting the jake brake and killing your engine on the slick stuff if you forget to turn it down to one head, instead of all three. That's not a good deal either. I was in CA. one time and I had to go back to AZ to get a new license due to Ca, having an issue with me so I had to ride along with my brother who had a 750 honda all the way to AZ DMV in the first town that had a DMV station to renew my license. So I gave them the address of the travel lodge/motel we stayed at and it went through and then all the way back to CA. in Turlock to get back to my truck so I could get back on the road to get my truck loaded in OR. and head back east. True story. I got stopped in AR. and had the county sheriffs almost arresting me because of some guy in MO who had my name but different social that saved me from getting arrested and sent to MO. one time. I would call it today, because it is the very day you are working on, even though it is past midnight and it is technically it is a new day; isn't it? Anyone who would post a negative comment about a project or a donation that someone who has the ability to give to another family or anyone is not Christian and is of the world and is going to you know where in the end and are not even enough of being in humanity to even comment about in my book. I don't even give them a mention so they get a big head because you know they will if we say anything negative about them that is all they are looking for in the first place or they wouldn't have said what they even say. You just keep on doing what the Spirit tells you to do and take care of your own 1 Tm.5:8 and let them be the infidels they are at heart. My only wish about the videos is that the music would be at the same audio level as the voice in the future. It is hard to know when it is coming sometimes and just plasts me out of the room. Thanks again for all you do and say for others to do the same in their lives as you and those who you associate with do as well with their own lives. It truly does show that there are still good hearted people in the world doing for others. One thing you might read though. Jn.15:20, 1 Cor.11:1-16 & Dan.12: 2, on how the Lord Jesus looks upon a shame. Might want to give that some thought and no Jesus never did have long hair that is a Roman Catholic depiction in their art that they promoted. No one else~!~

For me charity would be very hard to accept, I also much prefer and am accustomed to being on the other side of giving. There is so very much joy and peacefulness in giving. I've been strong my whole life and enjoyed working and working hard, since this Parkinson's disease has become very advanced I have been unwillingly on a journey to learn to be weak. It's not a good feeling and has been a very tough road. It's taken pretty much everything I had physically and financially, I live alone and basically have no one, except my Faith and that will never be taken from me. So I guess my advice to you is, allow yourself to receive allow yourself to be very humble allow yourself to know weakness.... before the lesson is made mandatory. Allow yourself to Be Blessed so you can be a Blessing yourself.
