@WongPeter-tx7qqАй бұрын
India is indeed a unique country. Can't think of another country that owes its establishment basically to a long period of being ruled by a sole foreign power. It is difficult to challenge the fact that without 200+year British control of the sub-continent, there won't be the present India (or Pakistan). India has inherited much from the British Raj such as - all those territories from lines drew by the British Raj on maps;. a central governing system and a unified written and spoken languages all of which India never had - and those Lines on the map and more left by the British are essential to uniting India.. Without those British gifts all those long and rich civilization only brought diversification but not unity and is only good for tourism. By the way, didn't hear much about the West welcoming India prior to the US pivot to Asia.

Replying to: @tahmidalam5612 who asked: "What's the point of this self proclaimed savage talk? All of India's neighbouring countries are turning Against india 😂You think thats a good thing?" Yeah. That's great. India did NOT poke them in the nose. But their neighbor's jealousy knows no bounds. Pakistan and Bangladesh have taken a sharp turn towards militant ideology. We shall us see how it serves their long term interests. If Bangladesh wants to rejoin Pakistan, fine with me. Let us stop this charade. Better to know who ones enemies are. From 1947 until Pakistan's Civil War in 1971, W. Pakistan was the richest of the 3 parts that comprised the British Raj. Ayub Khan bragged on the BBC that India, being a Hindu country is weak and 1 Pakistani soldier was the equal of 10 Hindus. These are Ayub Khan's words, not mine. Where was it written that West Pakistan and Bangladesh must fail? How can India be blamed for their current plight. The Western countries were expecting Bharat that is India to fail since 1947. Yet she is the only thriving Democracyin the neighborhood.

@@Hindustani_jaago My version of reality facing the Indian FM - India can't reconcile with China as China has long been used as the bogeyman to satisfy nationalism (or super nationalism) at home; he; knows the US led allies is treacherous and only views India as a tool to counter China; he worries that closer tie with the US might upset her relationship with Russia i; and he is uncertain as to how the unlimited friendship between Russia and China might affect India. If India is a super power like the US, Russia or China or a lesser power she would not be in such a dilemma. Walking and chewing gum at the same time to me means the person has many tough problems on hand so he keeps mulling in order to come up with the right solutions (rather than able to handle multiple tasks on hand with ease). In other words India is not in an enviable situation.
