HIV needs a CURE as soon as possible. It's being 40 years without a CURE of this virus. Other Virus like COVID, etc, seems to have Cure within months.. Why is HIV taking too long for having a CURE? Tens and millions of people are suffering and dying every year with HIV.. At least 100 people are dying everyday with HIV.. This Virus needs a CURE as soon as possible. When will we have a Cure to this Virus?

We couldn't agree more! This project takes aim at that and make sure that the cure is developed with community in mind. Well there isn't a cure, advances in anti-retroviral therapy have led us to the point where your HIV levels can be completely undetectable and untransmittable to partners. unfortunately you’re grossly oversimplifying the challenge at hand. HIV is a very different type of virus to COVID. They’re not all the same. Covid vaccines prevent serious illness, an hiv vaccine would need to completely block transmission. A cure would need to somehow remove the hiv dna that integrates into the host or permanently block all of the virus from reproducing

This is a completely valid question. Did you know that current medicines can completely remove any detectable virus from your bloodstream? We have people in our organization who have lived with HIV for 40+ years. HIV doesn't have to be a death sentence anymore.

We can totally understand that feeling. That's why we started this organization in 1989 to make sure that the communities most in need are getting the resources they deserve. We have members of our organization who have lived with HIV 40+ years. HIV is no longer a death sentence with the right medications!
