We can no longer blame THATCHER for our managed DECLINE

Liverpool, clearly faced managed decline as our political leaders during the 80"s stood against Thatcherism. Sadly it was the people who certainly paid the price and suffered for many years as a result. Today we are faced with a similar managed decline surrounded by local Politicians not wishing to make key decisions, our planning process has leapfrogged the standard process of 13 weeks and is now settling far to comfortably on 2 years,. This will ensure less investment and with it a smaller workforce and just like in the 80's in which Liverpool lost 220,000 people to the rest of the U.K. as Scousers fled to find work. This is about to happen again, hopefully not to the same magnitude, but then we had a population of 720,000 people in the 80's and today we are just 500,000. The issue here is that our plight is self induced, which leads to the inevitable question. Why are we accepting leaders that do not understand the rules of engagement, that do not have any experience in the field that they control and in many cases, do not have the experience of adult life, let alone lead a City out of what the max Caller report states a City facing enormous issues.
