Buy yourself an actual cylinder leak down tester and set that low cylinder to TDC and see where the leakage is exactly. You can not tell leak down using a compression tester. If u hear air in the oil fill cap it's bottom end, hear it in the intake it's the intake valve or hear it in the exhaust it's the exhaust valve.

Gavin, it sounds to me like you may have had a crankcase explosion (the pop), or it somehow over pressurized the crankcase which can easily happen with a supercharged engine. In that case you need to check your crankcase ventilation and make sure it is sufficient for your combination. You may even want to think about installing a crankcase ventilation system that has a pump to be able to pull a vacuum on the crankcase, which would greatly help ring and gasket sealing. P.S. The guy is probably right about the PCV valve. You need a better system. Choose a good transmission like I said in my other post. One that will allow faster shifts. P.S.S. You should keep the Mustang, I think it is what brought you a bunch of subscribers. I know it is what made me sub.

Remember the charger has oil seals as well would blow oil right into the cylinder. Although the decision has been made, I must say that I love the powerglide. I had one in my 1970 Chevelle and I had torque everywhere. I put a b&m shift kit in it and it would hold 1st until 40 under normal throttle and it would hold 1st until about 60-65 under full throttle. Had it paired to a 350 sbc with a 750 cfm edelbrock carburetor. Very fun car.

A small note on PCV systems. There isn't a PCV valve on the driver's side for a reason; the nipple on that side is to let fresh air into the crankcase as the fumes are removed through the PCV valve when under high vacuum situation, creating circulation. If that inlet wasn't available, the PCV wouldn't be able to properly evacuate the crankcase. This is why many racing engines that use exhaust crankcase evacuation systems usually have the little cone filters on at least one valve cover, to let air flow into the crankcase and flush fumes out through the evacuation system. The fact that it lets pressure escape if the crankcase is over-pressurized is one of those situations that is good, but not a design feature. Sucking oil out of the crankcase was my first thought. When an engine is running, especially at high RPM, there is a lot of oil vapour in the crankcase, even with the best windage control, so that vapour is easily sucked or pushed into the intake if a high vacuum condition occurs, or, in this case, high crankcase pressure. The other issue with pressurizing the crankcase, of course, is all of the other parts of the engine you can affect. It can affect oil seals and adds to the effect windage has on power loss. It can also push oil past the rings on intake stroke since the rings aren't designed with crankcase pressure in mind. Another possibility is that the blower is creating enough vacuum in the inlet hose to draw some oil out of the crankcase. On transmissions, I am surprised that a Glide works well in a heavy car, but I guess, with a lot of gear and RPM, that makes up the difference. Usually, a heavy car likes multiple gears, which tends to keep the engine in its powerband and not drop on the convertor after the shift.

pcv delete. look into it. get a new tune once done.(even if the tuner can't change the part of the computer that controls the valve/solenoid) *cylinder head vacuum is important for oiling the top of the engine you should plan around keeping those vacuum lines and running them through a catch can* but delete the valve(s) that let the exhaust pressure/crankcase pressure back into the intake. you would have had to push air and fuel past the rings for it to end up in the oil. did you check your catch can after that race? high rpm, high load, high oil pressure, slipping clutch, short shifting into 4th, AND a fuel/ ignition cut during all of that. recipe for calamity. i don't know how the oiling systems are related to the pcv system on a mustang but you also mentioned that you have an "oil pressure delete" i'm not sure what that means on your car.... is it computer controlled?

Compression is checked and compared cylinder to cylinder. Should be +/-10% . 200 is a bit shy but still pretty good. Probably leaking out the exhaust valve. oil under car is from dumping out of air filter. smoke came out from under the car.

A story for when my truck was running crappy after I replaced my intake manifold, I drove it for about 10 minutes back and forth from autozone, I took out the spark plug from the cylinder that the CPU said was misfiring, inspected and I run iridium tipped and the entire electrode and tip was gone. Just gone. So I got scared that the plugs were too long and the piston caught it over and over. But it was just a small metal part that got sucked into the intake and into that cylinder and was bouncing around between 500-3,000 RPM, no scoring to any internals. Just a chewed up intake valve

@@YachtLife They do not. You can unscrew the fitting off the engine and it will still show the max psi if you do not hit the button. You need a leak down tester for that.

Bottom of engine built pressure due to the rings sticking and pushed oil past the rings into the cilender when it back fired it caused and vacuum and sucked oil into the intake valve and thats y there is oil coming out of breather, and the smoke is from oil in cilenders when detonation.. Or you very well could have burnt a hole in a piston and thats how the oil got in cilenders.. I remember you saying you was real lean..

This car didn’t “blow the engine” or you would have a vented block and not have driven it home. If the baffles in your exhaust blocked the exhaust pressure, it then vented through the intake. Definitely not good. But it’s not blown either. I love watching you at the track, but not you working on your car. You’re pushing 1000whp on a stock block...
