NO HATE! I think it might be easier for Harlen in a little bit longer stirrups. He will have more space in the saddle to sit on and it will eliminate almost falling behind saddle. As a beginner Harlen is doing amazing! Good luck with his next lessons☘☘

Harlen has gained so much confidence around horse. He went from being scared when they moved their head toward him to interacting with them directly and even playing with their head. So proud of him and i think he has great potential ❤

Coming from an instructor. - i feel harlen has improved a lot but i only have a few tips for his canter position, i suggest his stirrups go up a hole and sit a bit more in the middle of the saddle as when he is cantering he slides back a little, remember head hip heel aligned! i do not believe he is ready to go over trot poles in canter as if he falls it could make his confidence drop i am speaking from students past experience and my own.. but i see how far he has come! he is doing great he looks to be a little nervous when rolo pops into canter but he quickly relaxes, harlow would do great being a riding instructor! the reason his feet are slipping thru the stirrups is because he is not balanced properly and is nervous but keep doing what your doing i understand that he is still learning but these tips will help a lot i feel.. remember always sit up and sit back and keep smiling!

Harlan is doing really well! Please get him a proper instructor even if it’s just a lesson once a week. Harlow is doing a great job teaching him but there are things that an experienced instructor will be able to pick up and explain better that will help both Harlan and Rolo grow as a team

What do you mean, proper instructor? Harlow is a good instructor she has had a lot of lessons and knows her ponies better than any instructor would she also knows Harlen because some instructors are quite strict and can make you feel upset also Harlow has taught quite a few kids if they got a real instructor it would just cost more money than it already is to maintain horses and Harlow is fine to teach that level of riding, maybe when he gets more experienced but right now she is doing great and it’s not like your first canter on a pony or second or third or maybe even 10th looked comfy that comes with time and when I mean a bit advanced, I mean jumping higher like 70 and then they can start to think about getting him a instructor, but currently they don’t really need one it would probably just be a waste in my opinion to have an instructor even if it meant learning faster. No hate just my opinion!❤

We aren’t suggesting that Harlow just quit teaching him, but a lesson from a more experienced teacher may help him with somethings that he could improve on. (This is not hate, just my opinion.)

Harlen has grown so so much in his riding and it’s so good to see! I love him being able to canter on his own and control Rolo because doing all of that is so hard when you first start riding. I love at the end when he wanted a picture and then went into “model mode” like Harlow lol Love watching your videos.

Harlen is really getting the hang of "posting" up and down riding Rolo. Rolo doesn't move as fast as Cloudy does, and so there is more steady rhythm and stability on Rolo. He really is staying with Rolo as he trots and even canters a bit. This is "giant" progress. Harlen really has become more confident and is so excited about riding now. Harlow is a great teacher, and I am just happy to see this happen for Harlen. Best of luck at the shows, Harlen.

I would absolutely love to come and teach Harlen a lesson on Rolo! Rolo will definitely take harlen far as he’s already got the experience of shows.. harlen is such a lovely little boy and I would absolutely love to teach him! Harlen is improving so fast! 1 thing I’d definitely recommend is putting his stirrups down a hole or 2 as he’s sitting quite far back into his saddle and tilts forward so having them put down will help him with his balance too! another thing I’d say is also reminding him to sit straight rather than learning forward just a few reminders he’ll soon grasp onto sitting straight too! Harlens lower leg position is actually lovely as he definitely has a solid lower leg for his young age! Definitely keep reminding him about his heels down as obviously don’t want any accidents! But besides all of that he’s doing AMAZING!! Well done Harlen!! You’re doing an amazing job young man!!❤

Just a small tip so rising trot could be easier: make the stirrups a little longer as he is very far back get more strength and do some exercises on the ground for the back muscles as he is falling forward.. This is no hate. I love y‘all. Harlem does great! Please take this as an advice not hate :3

I totally agree, he seems to be leaning forward often during the trot and being a little wobbly, but his walk is really good. Some times that’s a lack of confidence but his seems fine as he has improved a lot since we first started seeing him ride. I feel that working more on his balance will help him so so much over all, I’ve seen many kids improve a lot with just a few lessons full of practicing balance while riding. (Not hate)

Awesome cantering from Harlen but high hands at some point considering that you use a bit, his heels need to be down and also it looks like he will fly out of the saddle in the trot to canter transition but he'll learn because you are great teachers, well done! ❤
