You worked out the whole Ruby and Lilith plan faster than any other reactor I have seen. Most are shocked and confused by the twist. You saw it coming.

You are probably the only person watching this series online that predicted Lilith being the final seal. I love the shock of the prophet here as Castiel has effectively undone what was fated to be, much like he did when he told Dean to use the archangel to scare away Lilith from Sam.

This was such a great arc and a lot of info from the first few seasons came to a head, but season 5 is even more of that. It ALL comes together. So, we know now Ruby was always evil and it’s interesting to have that knowledge while watching her from season 3 manipulating Sam from the start. Yeah, arc angels would smite anything that was in the vicinity of threat of a prophet. Interesting how the phrase “the road to hell is paved with good intentions” was Sam’s whole arc this season. He constantly thought that the ends justified the means but I’m sure that’s not true anymore lol. Also, Zachariah had said that Sam may “need a little nudging” so I’m assuming the phone call was all him. Can’t wait for season 5!

I love how they keep bringing back small pieces of information we’ve learned throughout the series, particularly with Azazel’s plotting! It must be really different watching season 3 knowing what Ruby turns out to be in the end🤔 I figured it had to be the angels or Ruby that swapped the voicemail, but you’re right, that comment from Zachariah definitely seems like it was him😵

When I first watched it, I was so invested in Ruby being on the good guys' side, so that they can have someone else in their corner after Castiel has turned back to heaven’s side (though he did rebel against them at the end there). And for it to not be the case, yeah, I cursed and screamed at my TV like a lunatic. Also, I think Lillith's comment about her host In the Monster at the end of the Book episode, is supposed to be a foreshadowing of Ruby's role in the whole long con. Ruby is the only demon who really knows how much Sam is bothered by demons not having the host's consent in possession, so she's the only one who could have told Lillith that Sam would need to be convinced in that manner. So by trying to convince Sam: “Don’t worry. The dental hygienist in here? She wants it bad” before having sex, indirectly revealed that Ruby must have told Lilith how Sam was very much opposed to her wearing a living, talking body/meat suit in the ep. Heaven and Hell. By that time Ruby had surely alienated all demons as she said even Alistair didn't know that she was actually on the side of the demons. Hence no one can tell Lillith that bit of info except Ruby herself.

Ruby truly put the effort in on that con, and she succeeded in the end. She doesn’t live to reap any benefits from it though lol😂 I never would have picked up on something that minor😅 but they definitely did leave little hints here and there throughout the season

I love the way you talk through what's happening & try to figure it out. You're very good at doing it. Don't feel bad about trusting Ruby. The fandom had been split about her from the beginning. I don't trust anyone. Even in real life, you can't fully trust anybody. I think that Zachariah changed the voicemail. Some people think Ruby. Season 4 is great! You are so good at finding clues, please pay very close attention through season 5. Especially the finale! No spoilers. Great reaction!!

Thank you! Sometimes I fear that I might annoy people with how much I talk and overanalyse some things but I'm glad you enjoy it as I really can't help it lol. I think now it must have been Zachariah with his "nudge" comment earlier in the episode.

I'm sorry I don't care what anyone else says but Dean had every right to say F Sam after what he pulled. Sam almost strangled him to death yet Dean's having a pity party for not wanting to go after him right away, screw that. And before anyone says something about starting the apocalypse this comment is not about that as we saw both brothers were manipulated by both sides so Lucifer being free is not on just one brother but both. I'm just angry because there were clear signs Ruby was being shady and Sam chose to ignore it because she was his supplier so he was more than happy to buy her BS especially when she stroke his ego. Say what you want about Dean but he never was willing to buy the Angel's company line and only did so in times where Sam was directly involved. Again I want to reiterate my complaint is not about Sam starting the apocalypse as there were multiple factors involved my anger is for the fact he couldn't let the demon bitch go in favor of his brother; yes I'm well aware if Sam had chosen Dean the devil would have been freed regardless but at least it would have been their screw up together as brothers. But the fact that he felt she would be more useful than Dean at his side is something I can't just overlook and Dean has every right to be angry at Sam after all that's happened.

It was more the comment of "he's not brother anymore... if he ever was" that was a bit dramatic. Of course he is his brother, always has been and always will be. He would never be able to live with himself, knowing that Sam is out there somewhere if he just let go of him now. The timing also wasn't great, as the end of the world was on the horizon. I feel like it's also easy to forget that Sam trusts Ruby because she pulled him out a big depression when Dean was in hell, she got him out of the darkest place and made him more powerful. She seemed to have all the answers and evidence to back this up and Sam has always felt inferior to Dean so wanted to show up and save the world this time. Dean can be mad of course, but that wasn't the time to be. He messed up too, he used John's words against him which is perhaps the biggest sore spot for both of them!

@@TheCornerverse What else was Dean going to think after the brother he looked after his entire life beat him to a pulp then tried to kill him by strangling him, a lot of Sam apologists are willing to overlook that one. Again here it comes down to Sam's ego because he wanted to be the one and only who took down Lilith with the chick who shows up when it's convenient; we all know Sam's intelligent enough to know when something feels wrong and he felt that way all season but he was willing to ignore all those feelings just to get his fix like a true addict. I'm sorry but Dean saying those words is nowhere near comparable to what Sam tried to do to him in that room because Sam's the one who said "You don't know me, you never did" first and was already walking out because he'd already made up his mind so Dean got one last dig in, big deal.

Sam wanted Dean to go with him to kill Lilith, but Dean refused because he didn't want Ruby there. Sam said he needed Ruby to help him in order to do it. Sam felt he had no choice but to do it without Dean. Also, only Sam had the ability to kill Lilith, Dean didn't. But Dean insisted that he was the one who would kill her. That's the influence the angels had over Dean, that he would be the one to do it. Then Dean called Sam a monster, and that's when Sam punched him. Yes, Sam almost killed him, but Dean almost killed Sam in ep 4.14. That's one of the points of this season, that the world starts falling apart when the brothers start falling apart.

@@caseyanne967 Him feeling he had no choice to but to do it without him is total crap because like you said all he had to do was kiss Ruby goodbye and go with his brother. The only power the angels had over Dean was leveraging Sam which at least that's Dean being concerned over his brother as opposed to Sam who enjoyed flexing his powers any opportunity he could; Dean only felt he should be the one to kill her so that Sam wouldn't succumb to the darkside which he did anyway. It had nothing to do with Dean thinking he was stronger than Sam which Sam was the one constantly telling Dean how weak he was the entire season; so Sam's the one who made it a pissing contest not Dean right from the start. Don't you dare compare episode 14 where both brothers were under the siren's spell which turns people violent toward each other; Sam wasn't being controlled by anything here this was all him because the blood doesn't control his actions. What Dean said was harsh but it's not like he was the only one telling Sam he was going down a dangerous road; Meg pointed out how Ruby lives her life burning through girls bodies, Chuck called him out in Monster at the End of this Book about demon blood secret and how he's lying to himself about it being the right thing and lastly Pamela in her final moments sensed the evil power inside him and warned him. Call me crazy but when that many different people are questioning my motives I'd do some serious rethinking because like I said Sam's not stupid he didn't stop because he didn't want to because he liked the power of feeling superior.
@caseyanne967
@caseyanne967 10 ай бұрын
@@BriSand1993 No, he couldn't just "kiss Ruby goodbye and go with his brother". He needed more of Ruby's blood so that he could be strong enough to kill Lilith. If Dean went with him, he never would've allowed Sam to drink her blood, he would've fought Sam over it. Like it or not, Ruby was necessary. Dean wasn't strong enough to kill Lilith, only Sam could do it. With Lilith's powers, Dean never would've gotten close enough to kill her. All season long, the angels told Dean that God had work for him to do, etc, etc. In 4.21, Dean said he'd be the one to do it. Yes, he wanted to spare Sam, but he also wasn't willing to see that Sam was the only one capable of taking Lilith down. It's also about sparing Dean, because Sam doesn't want to see his brother get killed by Lilith. In 4.21, Sam was stronger and angrier because of the blood's influence. Dean calling him a monster was the trigger that pushed him over the edge. It wasn't the same level of supernatural influence as 4.14, but it still had an effect on him. Dean meant what he said to Sam before he tried to kill him in 4.14, and was pushed to physical violence by the siren. The point is, under normal circumstances, neither one of the boys would try to kill each other. About people warning Sam about the path he was on, obviously Sam using demon blood wasn't a great thing, but he saw it as necessary so he could kill Lilith. When Dean died at the end of season 3, Sam felt helpless to save him. No demon would deal, and all Sam had left was revenge on Lilith. With the blood, he no longer felt helpless, and once he realized he could stop the apocalypse he felt justified to keep using it. If only Sam had gotten his powers sooner, then maybe Dean would never have gone to hell and suffered all those years. So yeah, Sam liked that the blood made him feel superior, but it's not because he's some power-hungry jerk who's full of himself. Look at the reasons why he longed to have power, and it all points back to failing to save Dean from going to hell.
