In the manga, Piano was accidently killed by being crushed by King Piccolo in a case of hazard to bystanders, although Piano was hardly innocent. Pretty much the same thing happened last episode, but Piano still looked like he was alive while lying injured on the ground. He was then shown being swallowed up and presumably crushed or suffocated under the ground by a Piccolo generated ground effect. Either way, the guy is dead. It's fun seeing you interested in him. The sacred water is a catalyst to unlocking potential power. Presumably the drinker's body and spirit rallies and raises the ki level of the drinker in order to survive the poison. It's sort of like breaking through a really stubborn plateau in development, the benefit should remain so long as Goku keeps himself in shape. Tien proves to be able to play an 'on stage' narrator of the fight--and able to give Goku an able assist in getting him out of danger. As you can see, Piccolo can produce nuclear level explosions, which would make sense if Piccolo can destroy a district of an entire planet. Just playing bystander and lifting Goku out of danger, and experiencing two major attacks from Piccolo as a bystander has taken him down for the count. Tien was never a match for the de-aged King Piccolo without the evil containment wave, and Yamcha is going to be less capable, most likely. Andy? One should really consider this, as he was proven to be tougher and stronger than Goku back at Muscle Tower; but that was a long time ago. Goku has had two serious power upgrades from Master Korin in that time, and years of hard training. Also, Andy isn't a fighter and isn't extremely fast. King Piccolo can be extremely fast as you have seen; in fact the only reason Goku is winning isn't because of his strength alone, but his speed and monkey-like agility with considerable acrobatics. Andy wouldn't be able to match that. Of course, after losing the use of a leg, neither is Goku. I suppose that had Yajirobe drunk the water and survived, he might have gotten strong enough to help out. But it is unlikely that he could have ever have moved as lightly and blindingly fast as Goku. I believe that it was the robot 'Full Metal Jacket' (the Arnold Schwarzenegger - Terminator) from Muscle Tower that Goku punched through in the anime--I think. In the manga, the robot lost his head and then ran out of power in fighting Goku. Goku did break apart the 'Alien' pirate robot from the pirate base, but probably not in the way that you are thinking.

15:49 In the manga I'm pretty sure Goku told him to do his attack again, so Piccolo could drop his guard and then punch him, since he was out of energy from the first attack. People tend to wonder why characters don't attack while the opponent is charging up, but when you think about it it doesn't always mean the opponents have their guard down, and you also don't know what they're about to do, here Goku knew Piccolo's attack and Piccolo had less energy, so he knew it was a good opportunity to counter.

Goku does not lose any strength after drinking the sacred water, it basically unlocked his limits and allowed him to feel Ki for the first time. It is not a temporary boost to his power.

I think that if Piccolo had continued to engage in hand to hand combat after injuring Goku's leg, that would have been his best path to victory. He kind of gave up on that plan as soon as Goku hit him once with the pole. Throwing a rock at Goku to distract him while he fires a beam at his knee was easily his most genius move in the fight, but he failed to capitalize on it and wasted all of his energy on two failed explosive waves instead

ピッコロの「きさま、化け物か」に対して、「お互い様だ」と返す悟空の名シーン、名台詞のやり取りを英語版では変更しているだなんて、信じられない！ 悟空は、「化け物はお前だけ」と言いましたか？ この辺の表現の捻じ曲げが面白みを半減させている気がするのだが、ここを原作通りの台詞にしなかったのは何故なんだろう？ スージーの何でも過小評価して見る癖は直らないだらうなと、笑って見てます。 国王はあのタイミングで脱出しておいて正解だったね。 天津飯が悟空を救うが、原作には無い魔封波を使用したアニメ版の天津飯が何故生き残り、それだけの力を残しているのか…全くもって繋がりを欠いてると感じる。 鳥山先生も何でああいう差し込みをしたんだろう？と思ったでしょうね。 嗚呼、通り抜けを知っているのですね…。 変に何も知らないと演技したりせず、正直に見覚えがある事を口にされた事には好感が持てます。 が、一方で…やはりドラゴンボールを一切何も知らない人のリアクション動画を見る事は難しいんだなと、改めて感じました。 それだけ、世の中にはドラゴンボールの情報が溢れているという事ですよね。
