Fellow chicken parent here! I live in PA with 18 chickens and just wanted to share some info! I would suggest not using a heat lamp because they often catch the coops on fire. Let the chickens get used to the cold. Mine handle the PA winters just fine. Also, to Zane, don't give chickens chocolate! Although they do eat most things, there are a few poisonous foods for them and chocolate is one of them! It can cause them heart attacks. Good luck with your new feathery friends! ❤️

Not to mention make sure they're eating the correct feed for laying and have calcium on hand once the hen starts laying just in case. I mean Heath is kinda friends with the Googan's so he can always contact Flair for advice as well.

As a factory farm investigator and huge lover of this podcast, I can't tell you how happy your new chicken friend makes me. Thank you for saving her. Chickens are very complex and I'm excited for you to get to know her individual personality. Also when chickens lay eggs, it's intensive as a woman giving birth. It takes all the nutrients from the hen so it is advised and encouraged to feed the egg back to her. She will love it and it's the best way to replenish her to keep her healthy. Can't wait to hear more about your new family member!

I'm THE biggest HIMYM fan you could encounter. My fiance and I watch about 5 episodes a night, rewatching the entire series approx every 2 months. This is absolutely a sweater Lily would wear, especially around seasons 2-3 (This is when Alyson Hannigan would have been about Mariah's size). And I have never seen that sweater. I feel like I would notice because it's ADORABLE, and I notice Lily's outfits that I want. I would guess that sweater is something from the stylist, but not used on set after all.

Okay. I just need to talk about how Heath an Mariah are saying he didn’t add any chicken broth to the soup, boiling chicken is literally how you make chicken broth guys! Lmao Jordan, let me show you some Mexican ways my friend lol you start with the raw chicken in the water with half an onion and some garlic cloves and don’t forget the salt.. (some people add one or two bay leaves also, optional for more flavor) let it come to a boil and you have your chicken broth!! At this point taste it for salt and remove the half onion, garlic and bay leaves if you don’t want it in the soup.. then add whatever other spices and ingredients you want to have in your soup!! ❤

Jordan. If you read this. Cook your chicken first with onions and garlic first. As it cooks all the foam and blood will come out, take it out. Then add your vegetables and buillon cubes and seasonings, especially salt. Not too salty tho. Cook until the potatoes are cooked. Add a bit of fresh chopped cilantro or mexican oregano and boom
