Pork tenderlion (this is the sauce I used) www.thegunnysa...
Salad:
www.instagram....
3-4 romaine hearts
1/4 cup EVOO
1 cup finely grated parmesan cheese
Juice of 2-3 lemons depending on preference
Salt & pepper to taste
Optional: this is a great salad to add your favorite protein to and you can also top with chives.
1. Chop romaine and place into mixing bowl. Drizzle olive oil and toss to coat.
2. Add parmesan and toss to coat thoroughly.
3. Add lemon juice and toss one last time. Serve and garnish with salt, pepper, and any toppings of your choice. Enjoy!
*Tip: wash romaine hearts and wrap them in a towel, place into fridge for at least 20 minutes to crisp up.
Lemon baked Boursin Pasta: Recipe from ‪@Cheese_gal‬
www.instagram....
Ingredients:
1 cup roughly chopped marinated artichokes
1/4 cup chopped capers
2 rounds of garlic & herb Boursin
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1/4 cup dry white wine
1.5 tbsp good olive oil
1 tbsp dried thyme
Juice + Zest of 1 lemon (plus more zest for garnish)
1/2 tbsp Kosher salt
Black pepper
8 oz Spaghetti
Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Freshly grated Parmesan, for garnish
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Place boursin cheeses, capers, artichokes, garlic, white wine, lemon zest + juice, olive oil, thyme, and salt in a baking dish - and bake uncovered for 30 minutes. While boursin is baking, boil spaghetti until Al dente, making sure to reserve about 1/4 cup pasta water in the event sauce is too thick. Remove boursin from the oven after 30 minutes, and stir well. Strain spaghetti, then using tongs, place spaghetti into the boursin artichoke mixture and make sure all is well incorporated. Serve immediately! Top with fresh Parmesan, lemon zest, black pepper and parsley

Here's a little trick to spin salad that I learned from Ina Garten. Dump your wet greens into the middle of a clean kitchen towel. Wrap the ends tightly in opposite directions. Step outside and "spin" the towel for just a few seconds in one direction. Works like a charm for two people. I have a good spinner and never use it anymore. You'll have a damp towel for the kitchen clean up.

When grating your garlic, hold it the long way, straight up, by the end that you would normally cut off. That way the garlic fits within the width of the Microplane and you'll grate all of the usable garlic. All that will be left is the little nub that would normally be cut off.

Have you ever done a grilled romaine? Just take one head of romaine, slice in half and drizzle with olive oil and lemon juice, salt and pepper, put on your grill until it's just got the little char on both sides. Add fresh parmesan to the cut-side and keep it on the grill till just melted. Serve with a wedge of lemon ~chef's kiss~ so good!

If you forgot to reserve the pasta water, run a little water into your pasta, stir and then drain. The pasta still has starch on the outside. You will get a starchy water just not as much as the cooking water.

Hi Jessica, I just love you!!! I wanted to tell you...when you cut up your romaine.. cut the bottom off first about 2 inches from the bottom...take that bottom portion and stick it in some potting soil stem side down...and you will grow more lettuce...you can also do this with green onions too. B can have nvr ending onions lolol. It really works! You can just keep cutting the green tops...kinda like cutting its hair hahahaha!!

I appreciate the content and realize your channel is a full time job. My husband told me your parmesan chicken is the best meal he ate in a month. We just had Longhorns twice so take that as a huge compliment. I did leave the chicken crispy and lay it on top of the oven bake sauce, etc. Your channel was suggested when I was watching Paula Deen’s, so another big compliment to you. Looking forward to more! The pork whole meal looked delicious. I love when Bunky adds his honest comments, good tips. The chicken thighs and pasta..yum!!! The seasonings 💋. I was feeling for ya when you dumped all the pasta water cause I'm like that would of added to the silk creaminess of the dish but looked like it turned out fantastic anyway. I love when that happens. P.S. that lantern outside with the flame looked so cool.

My mom and I went to a cheese store one day and they happened to be cracking? cutting? a fresh Parmesan wheel. They let us sample it and it was amazing. It almost had a sweet, fruity taste and no strong smell. Literally like night and day between even the good quality shredded/shaved kinds at grocery store.

I have been watching you guys for a while now , love your videos so much. Have you ever tried grilled romain lettace ? We love it , cut the romain length wise leaving the core in tack, brush it with olive oil , grill it until it is a bit brown, top with either golden raisins or craisins and drizzle of balsamic vinegar or your favorite salad dressing. We sometimes top with parm. Good luck !

Girl, I was saying “me too” this whole video. We love our salads all chopped up also. That way you get a little bit of everything in every bite. And I’ve been saying to myself for a while that I really need a salad spinner. And I have to agree about the Parmesan cheese. Although I will admit that lately, I have been using the nicer brand shaker Parmesan cheese. But I grew up in a house that had fresh pecorino Romano in one of those handheld cheese graters that they use at Olive Garden. That’s how we had our cheese. And it tastes so good. Everything looked delicious as always and you two are a joy to watch. ❤️
