It’s not a scam by Uber driver. It’s very normal that driver ask for cash if they require to refuel the car . On driver app, driver does not understand whether it has been paid by cash or card unless trip is end. So they ask cash if not paid by card. It’s normal here and not scam. In Europe more bigger scam happen which my friend recently faced while travelling Europe.

They call everything a scam. Even one dollar more is scam. But they get free food ,free rides,free invites ,free dinners in people's homes. Thats nothing. Just one dollar more somewhere. Oh, I was scared. Only beggars come here as tourists? Shame. They don't like to avail good services. Want only cheapest of cheap and then talk of quality of service. Our govt should attract only roch tourists. These poor ones don't help with economy . Just put pressure on our resources.

That's so interesting. That's very different from what we are used to. That day it definitely felt like a scam, but it wasn't that dramatic in the end. We arrived safe and sound and the driver was very friendly after we agreed on not paying cash. When did you travel to Europe and which scams did you face there? Would love to know.

I would kindly ask you to not talk to anyone like this. Not to us or other people on the channel. We always give tip and we never mind paying a little more as a foreigner. We just didn't want to pay double. And the first day in a new country is always very overwhelming and we need to settle into the place. That's why everything feels like a lot at our first days. I am sure you feel the same in new places? Please don't refer to "anyone". Everyone deserves the chance to not be prejudged. Everyone is different.

@@MaddyandSascha I mentioned my friend faced scam in Europe and it’s a long story. By the way another wrong notion about India that women are not safe here. Do you know which countries are ranked in highest rape cases ??? America, Australia, Baltic and Scandinavian countries in Europe, South Africa. India comes in lowest rank ( Check Rape statistics 2023.) but still western leftist media portrayed India and Delhi is the rape capital, what a propaganda & conspiracy. We are fed up by false narratives by leftist. We accept there are lots of things to criticise in India specially infrastructure and cleanliness point of view but India is changing, it will take time. We have got independence just 75 years ago after 1000 years of ruled by invaders like Arab, Turkey, Persia, British, French, Dutch, Portuguese and danish. We Hindus have such power to fight with everyone and defeated, we never lost. However just ignore all the false narratives and enjoy the 10000 years of civilisation and culture and it’s uniqueness. Those guys changing clothes at airport were not Indians. And yes Indians treat their guests very well. Sadly Indians are treated super badly outside India. Even during getting tourist visas Indians are treated like thieves. But anyway that’s the difference between considering the whole world as a family and considering outsiders as burden. Even poor people in India are benevolent. Being the largest population, still Indians treat foreigners as family members. And yes in India big or small, everyone is welcome in the weddings, no guest lists or entry passes are required. Take care and glückliche Reise!

That's not the most posh wedding but ya...it's a well maintained wedding Indian weddings always take place in a larger scale...but as Germans...it's understandable that it might have been a new experience to you guys ❤ Changing clothes in the airport is not normal....and what they were wearing wasn't an everyday outfit...they look more like a saint or someone connected spiritually so ya...there might have been an issue with them Excited to see your journey... Do visit cybercity,aerocity,Khan market, India gate Do visit proper areas and not intentional slums ❤

@@Harshalcv11 It totally depends on the place! If you're lumping all Western countries into one category, then that's impossible to say. Some people would love it, while some people would absolutely never want that. Many people only have small, very private weddings with only a select few people they are close with. Others throw big, lavish weddings. Whether they would allow total strangers at their wedding is totally personal. That being said, I do think Indians would be more welcoming and willing to invite a random foreign stranger to their wedding.

I've lived in a few European countries and have traveled to many. Some place come of as much more "rude" and unwelcoming" regardless of where you're from. Of course, some places are MORE rude and judgmental depending on where you are from. I think that's pretty universal al over. Any foreigner in any country will not be treated the same as a local. Some will be treated worse than others. I'm sure there are plenty of stories from foreigners visiting India, with stories of being treated poorly. I'm sure not all Indians are welcoming of foreigners either. They may be more welcoming on average than Europeans- but not each traveler will have their own personal experience. Just as you have. Either way, your comment is meant to try and lump all Western people into one category. It's not really fair- just as lumping all Indians into one category would be unfair.

Asking for cash instead of payment is not scam . UBER and OLA pay after 7 days and driver prefer cash so that they dont have to pay from their pocket for fuel which cramp their budget for home ( expense )

We prepaid him via uber with credit card. Uber's terms and conditions. He wanted cash, even though we already paid. But he was understanding when we insisted we don't want to pay him cash. In the end everything was fine.

Reg Uber it depends on the driver. While most of the drivers are very honest, sometimes you need to understand the science behind it. That's where what looks like unethical may be ethical. i think the cab driver was not scamming you. It usually happens in india that they ask you to cancel the ride and then travel in their cab because these cab companies like uber takes lot of commission and the cab driver is hardly left with any profit

Yes that’s what we figured in the end. But we felt safer to go with paying by card that day, since it’s been our first day we need to ease into it. Afterwards we got the hang of it and everything was fine☺️

It's not scamming. I am an Indian and they always ask me before even picking me up that if I will pay them using cash/UPI or usind UBER pay or Cards. They like to take cash/UPI as there will be no hidden charges which gets detected from their earnings by the Cab hailing apps before even they get the money.

guess it’s all a question of budget and preferences. as long time travelers we just can’t afford to spend 200$ for a fancy hotel room. our stay in Delhi was more than delightful and provided us with everything we needed and more

Must have had something bad on plane or the country you boarded. One bite and stomach feeling funny is not funny, it’s psychological conditioning maybe. Just enjoy be happy and grateful. Have same items you tasted at wedding from the open market, One bad tummy is just a small price. Food at weddings is usually highly sanitised and it does not taste the same as the real one on the street 😂

We were just afraid. 😂 nothing happened. But on the streets when you don’t know if it is fresh and clean it might be bad for our European stomach. But we ate a lot on the streets the days after and all was fine!

It was just the last day of the whole week and the wedding was super posh! We loved it! They flew the whole family to Tuscany to hunt for truffles. The father made the wedding extra special for his daughter! Just beautiful! 🤩

The music you're referring to feels very much like riding a tuktuk the very first time in India. I guess that's the reason why everyone, especially foreigners, uses it. We felt like it is very precisely transmit the feeling we had entering India. Sorry you don't like it.

The music is neither Indian, nor the lyrics.. and the lyrics are like if I pick some random but catchy english words and make a song out of it.. and give a generic "english sounding" music.. and call it a rap song... 😔 (On 2nd thought some rap song may or may not originate like that idk)

You will often hear the same music from KZbinrs because there are VERY FEW options for copyright free music to use on most audio platforms, like Epidemic Sound or Artlist ,when it comes to "traditional" music from almost any country. If you're looking for that music to suit a specific region of a country- forget about it. It doesn't exist! You can't just use any music you want on KZbin. It doesn't work that way. You will get a copyright strike, and may even have your video taken down. Since most KZbin creators use the same platforms to get their music, you will definitely hear the same music in videos.
