My plans - I will take at least 3 good photos a day this week and post this to Instagram. My focus will be on practicing patience and making sure to get the shot right. An excuse of mine is that I don't have anywhere nice to shoot but I'm just going to find beauty in the mundane. Aside from that I won tickets to see the JOKER Movie! So that is happening for sure!

Assignments assignments assignments and I have a shoot on Thursday but I have to make sure I plan things out and have a specific end result in mind, kuz I realized recently that when I put even just a little bit more thought into my shoots, the end result are remarkable better

I loved this video! Social Media makes it easy to doubt myself and always feel like you two and other photographers are at an unattainable skill level. I find myself getting frustrated, rushing, stressing out, feeling self conscious and all the negative feelings when out taking photos or video... but this video helped. It allowed me to see that you two also make mistakes in fact Rachel pointed out all the mistakes I make which made the video even more relateable. A problem I have is that I rush and then I look back and say "had I just done this one thing" or moved over just a little bit and then I just delete the photo... anywho I am rambling the point is that this was a great video and it helped quite a bit with my issues around self doubt and feelings of self doubt towards trying to pursue photography Sorry this is not a coherent thought need more coffee!

Love this. I relate a lot with the need to slow down on my shoots and be more thoughtful about all the elements of my photo instead of going trigger happy. Your videos never fail to make me feel inspired and excited to do my job well.

You are such amazing role models. And I mean that in a completely non-pressure kind of way haha Like, I love how you know what your weak points are, and you're not afraid to admit to them and encourage everyone to do the same. Although I am not a professional photographer, not even an amateur, it's really just a hobby (mostly travel photography), I always feel like I need to get the photographs right without editing them. I love love love your style of work, but it's somehow immensely reassuring to see how there's nothing wrong with fixing things in post (even though, of course, we all dream of getting that shot JUST right). So, thank you for being so open and honest about your work. You guys rock!

It felt you guys were “Being John Malkovich”-ing me when I’m working on my photos and understanding what I can do better. Superb work! Cheers.

Strip-doors. The plastic things are called strip doors. My first job was as a stockman, and these stupid things would get wrapped around my neck and knock my hat off all the time. It was fun to see you guys critique your own work. Super helpful to see how you think through the process.

Mango Street Right? They’re supposed to keep a barrier between the inside of the container & the outside when the main door is open. Those strip doors were missing a bunch of strips. If those are food containers, then that’s a major health code violation. 😬

Hey guys a way I would recommend you to slow down is to shoot using the view finder not the display, it forces you to understand your framing better and also it trains you in understanding your exposure as well.

Great work guys! 9:41 How do you get Lightroom to compare before/after including the change in cropping? The standard behaviour is to display the original next to the edited version but with the same crop as the edited version... Does anyone know?
