Thanks! We will give them a try when we are in Florida again next year.

The Cubano at Strawberry hut had lettuce, tomato and mayo on it, much like the Abella's sandwich we tried in the video. We still liked the sandwich, but felt that the addition of L&T made it more of a "sub" or "hero" then a traditional cubano. That's totally our opinion though :) Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers!

Loved your exploration. I have been to Columbia a few times. A good experience. I think I've been to La Segunda. Not sure about Arella's. I haven't been to Tampa since before pandemic. Got to get back there. I will for sure get to La Segunda on my next trip. I enjoyed your adaptations. I love pickles. Got to have pickles.

Yes, pickles are a must! We recently saw another person's video about the Columbia Cuban and he had so much more meat on his than we did. He also said it was try because there was too much meat. That confused us considerably!! Thanks for watching and commenting!

I always thought Cuban sandwiches were pressed. What do I know? I live in Oregon. The sandwich you made looks delicious. Lots of mayo/mustard for me too, along with dill pickles. Good job!

Well, I thought that as well! I grew up in the Tampa Bay area and enjoyed Cubans before I had to go gluten-free. They were, however, always from the same place and that place pressed them. Some press, some don't. It was such a terrific sandwich and now I am craving one as I write this!!
