I LOVE that Chris Rose wasn't on this episode.... because it really opens the door for content on this. Maybe Rose gets shown the two list but isn't told who is who and has to guess? Maybe Rose gets the list, but doesn't watch the ep and builds and entire episode off of questions he has about them? You really opened the door for Football Today to get more content out of this episode with Rose not being here that I'd love to be explored. BTW, I ALWAYS listen until the end.

Goff should be higher Justin. I Caleb is great, but Goff needs more respect

I might be biased because I’m a giants fan, but I can’t be the only one who thinks Hurts is a product of the system?! Goff is definitely better than him even though he can’t run & is just a pocket passer. Rather have Goff than Hurts every of the week
@j.r.3945
@j.r.3945 4 ай бұрын
He is to an extent but he executes the system very very well. And his athleticism is borderline elite as well. He doesn’t have the strongest arm or the prettiest ball but he generally makes the right reads and gets the ball where it needs to go. It might look different but it’s very effective. And let’s not forget how long it took Goff to become a high quality qb. Hurts is very good. Not elite but very good

@@j.r.3945it didn’t take Goff that long to become a good starter his second season as a starter he threw for 3900 yards 28 touchdowns and 7 ints. That’s statistically better PASSING stats than any season jalen hurts as ever had. His team had a 11-5 record that season and won there division. Goff followed that up with 4600 yards 32 tds to 12 ints. His team went 13-3 that season and had a superbowl appearance. Again hurts has never had passing stats that looked that good. People just overhype hurts 1 yard rushing tds where he’s pushed into the endzone. If you take half of those tds away and give them to the running back hurts numbers are very pedestrian.

Trevor Lawrence has more Total Turnovers than Touchdowns so how he is considered Good or better than Goff is insane...Goff doesn't look Flashy or Dynamic when he plays but all he does is Win and give his teams Elite Play and Production.... Last 2 seasons all 34 games played 67%_ 9,013Yards 59Touchdowns_ 19INTs A Division Title 2 Consecutive playoff Wins

Exactly and putting Caleb over him is insane. If he plays well this season then sure but that’s like putting Bryce young over Goff without playing the season.

I mean Caleb is significantly more talented than Goff and clearly this is a projection for next year. Goff at 17 is definitely too low for me but he’s not top 10. I’d say 12 is fair

No QB is complete & works in every system. But yeah, I'd prefer anyone put Any Thought into anything they said & didn't go on personal preference. How can Bo Nix & Jayden Daniels honestly be expected to fail? Based on being the best at certain things? The sad fact is people base their talent assessments on things not connected to talent. I would _LOVE_ to see an Honest Video "showing" Tom Brady's élite passing ability. The problem is he doesn't have much. Every great QB has footage of them making passes most other QBs can't. Brady's? A ton of easy passes to wide-open receivers & almost every pass to covered ones being INTs with a _MASSIVE AMOUNT of them_ being overturned for penalties. But this kzbin.info/www/bejne/a3uyYoOpqtV5lbc *_really_** shows* how none of these guys can assess anything, ever, just regurgitate what others say. It's a spliced video showing the college highlights of Caleb Williams & one other QB. The other QB isn't only a better rusher. If you count the # of times each QB misses by inches or miles you'll realize the other QB is also a *_WAY_*_ more accurate passer!_ But wait: isn't Caleb supposedly 'Generational?' Yeah, according to empty media rhetoric. Someone threw that label around & no one questioned it. & listen to this pointless discussion about Fields. "I think the situation in Chicago was bad, but (he) it should have been better." Isn't it amazing how people talk about how great Andy Reid & Kyle Shanahan are but they 100% ignore when play-callers are bad? Aren't those factors? Otherwise why do people excuse "having Urban Meyer" for T-Law's failings? (Yes, sometimes people will say a coach was bad. But even there, after he's gone & because of something not coaching-related). Fields publicly called out his coaches after week 7 of '22. After being unable to avoid reporters' questions _about_ his play-calling for weeks, Eberflus panicked & FINALLY allowed Getsy to call the offense with either less or no interference from himself. & remember what happened? Fields led the pre-D.J. Moore Bears to being the #1 offense 3 weeks straight. He did with Mooney & Claypool what Allen couldn't do with Diggs & Kincaid, what Burrow couldn't do with his élite WR trio, with what Mahomes never did with Tyreek Hill. & these guys just shrugged that off along with how Eberflus reinsteated the failed plays after that streak as if they never saw any streak. Like, *what* are these guys basing their assessments off of? Because it's as if they're just tweaking PFF grades. Every time I come back to this channel after a few weeks they disappoint me all over again. They know nothing.

The issue with Bobby's "Would you pay Kyler the same contract" question is...that is just how much QBs are getting paid. Like people freaked out when we paid DJ, but his deal is now on the low end of what people are getting, especially when you look at Trevor Lawrence. If you sign a QB its going to be $45m+ at minimum and anyone "decent" will be 50-55+. Its that or start over, those are really the only two options now sadly.

Jared Goff has been elite the last two years and he won two playoff games last year. It makes no sense to have him at 16 or 17 or whatever Justin has him. Goff at a minimum will have 4500 yards and 30 TD’s each season over the next 3 years. These are minimums and I expect him to go even higher with more playoff wins. How can you not rank that as elite? I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again, sure it’s nice if your QB is mobile or good at scrambling and throwing on the run, but not at the expense of accuracy, throwing interceptions, being a leader, winning playoff games etc…

You people kill me josh and Lamar are not better than burrow . Man is it like a full time job in the football commentary community to give us less credit than we deserve . Neither of them have anything over joe other than running which let’s be honest isn’t a qb fucking job anyway so why are you counting it so much . They aren’t smarter , they don’t read defenses as good they are not as accurate, they’re not better leaders and they aren’t as good in the playoffs and neither have consistently beaten the consensus best qb but he has . They are not better , why is this even a conversation. He’s only finished 2 seasons to their like 5 or 6 and has been to back to back afc championships and a superbowl and they have made it to 1 afc championship each and got beat by the chiefs . Cut it out
