We Did Great With The Crab

Blue Crab, In this video we'll be catching Blue Crabs in Pascagoula Mississippi using handlines.
The first spot we caught a few crab then we moved and started to catch some nice size crabs right away. Are goal was to catch a dozen Blue Crabs but we ended up with16 good size crabs.
Before we went back to our room we cleaned and steamed the Blue Crab and picked some for a delicious blue crab pizza. Catch and Cook #catchingbluecrabs #catchingbluecrabs #bluecrab #crabhunting

I've been having a really hard time the past year. Things are getting better. Lived in a tent most of the summer with my kitty's. I now live in a camper. God's getting me through. But I have to say you both have helped me to. Your videos have made me smile and brought joy to my life just watching. I can't wait to go on my crabbing vacation. I'm definitely going to try crab pizza. I was suppose to go crabbing, but wen't through a partial amputation on both feet. By the time I'll be completely healed, it will be too cold to go crabbing in Gavleston, Tx. I now have to wait until summer to go crabbing. What tortue. 😒 As always, I love your videos.

We're sorry to hear about the problem you're having with your feet and hope they heal quickly and you're back enjoying the outdoors again. We never did any crabbing in Texas but when we go to Mississippi we catch blue crabs year-round but summer and fall is the best. Take Care and Thanks for Watching our videos

@@TheOldCoupleOutdoors I read somewhere that the best crabbing is during the months that end in "R". That may be true for the most southern states, but not Texas. The months of September and October are still warm to mildly chilly, but the months of Novermber and December are quite cold. I can't imagine having much success crabbing in the coldere moths, especially from the banks and piers.

Your pizza looked delicious. You are right about the heat. As always my husband and I enjoyed watching you crabbing. Mr. Sam about how long is the leader you used on your crab lines? We have tried using string like you have, but have not used a leader. We think your way is better, but wondered how long the leader was. I am guessing 24 to 30 inches. Thank you for the fun video.
