I’m so glad that Ren did those and took control of his own narrative. No one can make crap up about him. He’s already done a video autobiography. Hats off to him for doing it. He bared his soul. The other excellent one to react to that only a handful of people have covered is Ren’s 1M Subscribers video that he did. I’ve certainly never seen the like of it in this world of social media. Ren is truly a beautiful human being.

One of the things I love most about this, Money Game pt3 specifically... is how Ren gives us the expected chorus of "Rain, Rain, Rain, Rain..." etc... without singing a single note of it, that one simple visual action of a rain machine, with the tune playing on strings.... GENIUS!!! Also my thoughts on the "click" of the gun.... It isn't Jimmy trying to self delete per se, more Jimmy got perspective, he sees the errors now, and that entire action is Jimmy ending THAT part of him, that toxic being his father fostered from such an early age, that symbolic click is him mentally doing what is needed to stop those parts of him he's now ashamed of, and now he's free to spread the lesson himself and use his wealth for the right reasons.

Brilliant reaction guys. Ren is such a perfectionist that Part 1 took over 180 takes, he performed a live version of Part 2 at the Sky Arts Awards (his first TV appearance) - although he was clearly sick he still killed it. The Video for Money Game 3 won multiple awards in the UK & Europe.

Great reaction guys, on point. Free Speech - offence is taken not given.. There's a wolf productions bts video on Mg3.. Also there is one other track that's related to the series. Not money ties.. So after Ren dropped mg3 he put out online a actual money game for real, yes real money. People played all over the world, they had to decifer clues and riddles to get to the prize, first to unlock the prizes coordinates won the gig, it was a briefcase loaded with pound notes, 1k in all..!! After the actual real money game he dropped the track Eden.. filmed in old skool 8 bit digital graphics like a old Commodore computer. So now you got another one to add to the list.. This reaction is a good example of why you would just watch Ren videos in the order they were released. Because he references so many things from previous songs and people miss out on what could be bigger, more impactful reactions when you hear/see those references. Just two of them for example are the Sea Shells line from Money Game pt. 2, which was referenced in Hi Ren. But he didn't just repeat the line, he used it in the song referencing the very real vital attention that it got with the Luigi meme that was all over the place. Ren thought for awhile that might be his biggest exposure and what he became known for and he wasn't getting any much out of it because it was just a meme video someone made. He also referenced the Jimmy character putting his hand inside the cookie jar in the Kujo Beatdown video. But watching things out of order means you'll miss out on things like that

Those were real bullets we saw him putting into the cartridge. What we didn't see was that off camera someone was standing behind him with an empty catridge, which was substituted before it was loaded into the gun. He made a behind the scenes vid of the making of MG3. I suspect that if we heard the sound of the gun going off youtube would have banned it.

Oof, long one! Thanks for doing all of them, even if it was at once hehe. Money Game 1 took 136 takes over 3 days with two very cheap mics in a publicly available area that was cold and smelly. Regarding Pt. 2 Shell Oil Company started in the mid 1800's selling exotic shells and misc. items... he also performed this for his first live TV appearance in front of the most wealthy and influential people in the U.K. earlier this year ;) Money Game 3 was designed for 1 take but they had issues with the rain machine so they did a single cut at the wheelchair. Ren also composed the entire piano piece.

I think that Ren's point was not so much about restricting freedom of speech, but rather questioning if people should ask themselves why they wanna be being hateful. The whole part 1 is an attempt to give us a mirror. At this point freedom of speech is for more and more people a justification to be hateful twats towards other people, and they have that right, Ren is simply asking us and everyone "Is that really what you want to be doing? Cause it seems kinda destructive and unproductive for us as a species"

Well done guys, really enjoyed it. Watched the whole thing. Mostly agree with you all, think there is a little bit more nuances in the whole hate speech thing, but I don't totally disagree with your point of view. I especially do agree though, that we need to return to the way we used to be, where what you thought of a person was based on their actions, not on their politics or religion. I see someone else has already gave you the fun fact about Shell Oil, but just to repeat it - "why just shells, why limit yourself? She sells sea shells, sell oil as well" - this is a direct reference to how the Shell Oil company came to be, first selling sea shells, then selling oil. Most of the things I want to say are about MG3. Though I will just point out because none of you mentioned it, MG1 and MG3 are live. MG1 is a one shot and MG3 is I guess technically a two shot. So MG3 - some visual references, the mirror that he looks into at the start "but point the mirror at ourselves, we're all part of this old money game", the rain at the end "oh rain, rain, rain, rain, a storm it comes our way". In case you are wondering the cut - is when the camera goes behind the wheelchair, and it was needed for technical reasons. They had to move the mic from his jacket to his tie because obviously he takes his jacket off and lays it on the table. The mic also needed to be waterproofed because of the rain machine. They only had one chance to get everything after the cut, because he only had that one suit jacket and the warehouse would take most of a day for the floor to dry out - so once they went for it, there was no turning back. Additionally someone else will probably mention it anyway, but if you watch closely the cellist on the left her bow is actually getting wet because the rain machine (really just a hose with holes in it) - was spraying water where it wasn't supposed to be, and Ren had to pay for her bow to be replaced, because it would have been ruined. In the part where he is loading the clip, and then the camera pans down to the gun just before he picks it up, a little slight of height magic trick occurred and the clip we saw him filling, was passed to someone else out of shot of the camera, and he was given another clip. Because UK rules, although the gun was decommissioned, you are not allowed to have live ammo in it, and he was worried that people would complain if they saw he was loading the wrong type of ammo. Ren purposefully leaves the endings open to interpretation, which is kind of a genius move, because it allows everyone to have their opinion on what the ending means, rather than having people be told explicitly what the ending means, and then risking alienating the people that don't share the same viewpoint. Cheers guys. You did good.

Great job guys getting through all three. Did you notice at the end of Money Game 1, Ren was “assaulting” Romain and humming the “rain, rain, rain” melody, when Ren left him to play the guitar again, Romain’s bag over his head now had a set of eyes drawn on them. When Ren went back to him with the gas can, Romain (fine acting job,) pulled back and “gazed” up at Ren in horror as he used the neck of the guitar to block that can in Ren’s hand. Ren backs away in disgust and horror at the realization of what he almost did to another human being…. Then he turned that around on himself You’re too young to know or remember the scene Ren recreates when he pulls off the rain poncho (nice catch that he is now dressed in gray - in the middle we sleep? Between black and white? Who knows with Ren? He’s hella creative, a deep thinker and a brilliant actor, director and producer … need I mention his musical gifts? Nahhhh 😉😆. The final scene at the fence with the suggestion of self immolation reminded me of 1963 when the Buddhist monk Thich Quang Duc self immolated in South Vietnam to protest the government’s lack of compassion and unequal treatment of Buddhists. Sometimes change requires a public stance (and a shocking one) and great sacrifice to bring attention to injustice and inequality. Ren certainly shocked the heck out of Shades … me too when I saw the video for the first time! Anyway, just a thought.

Just to put your minds at rest: in the BTS of Money Game part 3 by Wolf Johnson (the long version) ren talks about making mg1 and the 138 takes he mentioned that olive oil is very unpleasant when you get it in your eyes so not gasoline used there. And in the same BTS we learned about the gun safety laws required a mismatched ammo for the type of gun. In this case he has a 45 caliber gun and when he is over by the table they use some movie magic to show the clip being loaded with 45 bullets (because Ren wanted continuity) but the clip he puts back in the gun has the mismatched ammo so safe to pull the trigger ❤😂 the BTS is long (there's an approximately 45 minute version and a nearly 2 hour version) so it won't be appropriate for a reaction video (probably but I am a renegade and would watch the reaction video) but I recommend the long version if you have any interest in how Ren does these one take videos. Also the information I quoted is from the longer version. The short version doesn't have these little tidbits 😂❤

Thanks for doing the trilogy guys. Great reaction. My thoughts on MG3 is that dad is actually a representation of society itself rather than a dad. We’re told to compete and be better than the next person, when you get some success, well you’re only a millionaire not a billionaire so you’re not that important. Then when you reach heights you get torn down.
