Frankie had three stages of a career. The original Four Seasons are in the Hall of Fame with songs like Sherry, Walk Like A Man, Rag Doll, and Dawn. Then he did solo stuff with hits like My Eyes Adored You and Can't Take My Eyes Off of You. To this day he tours as Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons with hits like December 1963 (Oh What a Night). Sheer talent and dedication to craft has led to almost thirty top 20 hits.

Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons "Beggin" (1967). It was 54 years ago, when this song first came out. And yes, Mel they are the originators of this song. You and Shawn were not the only ones who did not know. After this song became a huge hit again in (2007) by Madcon for the movie "Step Up 3." The Four Seasons version once again became a big hit. Going down the rabbit hole that is "The Four Season." Is going to be well worth it. Love your reaction. Awesome!

How did they sound so good? In the '50s popularity was based on talent. They weren't just taking a pretty face and trying to make him or her a star with gimmicks, dancers, light shows, fashion, etc. What you're hearing is authentic music.

They sounded so good back then because they had an abundance of natural talent. No autotune and all that stuff.
@Gutslinger
@Gutslinger 2 жыл бұрын
I think there's an abundance of talent today. Just no creativity or uniqueness.. And a big part of that is because record and radio companies had control of what people could listen to for so long, and they eventually started creating models and artists to follow trends. Which is why a lot of music and artists today sounds bland and repetitive. They don't find talent anymore.. They try to artificially create it in their pre-planned cookie cutter molds.

Great review show and Beggin happens to be one of my favorite songs and written by 4 Seasons band member Bob Gaudio!!!! Who happens to be one of the most talented song writers of his time. Keep in mind the Four Seasons are one of the first bands to write the majority of their own songs and play their own instruments. One last fun fact, they are the only band to have a number one ☝️ record before, during and after the Beatles. No other Band can claim that musical achievement, now or ever.

this wasnt from the 50s. Its from 1967. still well over 50 years. listen to this and what you are hearing is Bob Guadio and Bob Crewe and the fourr seasons version of the Motown sound. 10 out of 10. Although not as famous as Brian Wilson or Phil Spector, Bob Gaudio remains one of the most talented Record Producers of all time, and sadly many do not even know his name or just how much great music he produced. The same goes for the songwriter singer and Producer and musical Partner Bob Crewe who wrote and sang on most of the four seasons, frank Vallli and many others hits.
