Cait _absolutely_ might have missed when Vi stopped her. She missed _twice_ in that scene; one took Jinx's middle finger off instead of hitting her head or centre-mass, the other hit Vi's left Gauntlet instead of Jinx. There was absolutely a chance for her to miss her shot and killed Isha. She just wasn't in the right headspace at that time.

Vi changed her mind, she already wasn't fully on-board with offing her sister but seeing the kid defend Jinx like she once did for Vander rattled her conviction. It's not like she couldn't have just pulled the kid off her to clear Cait's LoS.

Just to clarify a couple things: Janna is a wind goddess who saved Zaun (then called Oshra Va'Zaun) when parts of it fell into the sea (which later became the undercity) and some Zaunites still pray to her as a bringer of sea breezes and fresh air. (EDIT: this is true in League of Legends, the Arcane version of Piltover/Zaun has different geography and origins. Janna is still an important figure in Zaun's history though) The final fight takes place in the ruins of one of her temples. Jinx rerouted the underground vents to first funnel the Grey that Caitlyn unleashed on Zaun, then when the big mural of Janna blew up and unleashed the winds it blasted the Grey right up into Piltover. Basically Jinx gave Piltover a small taste of the kinda air Zaun has to breathe.

@@zacharybartolo5111 So far, Janna is only mentioned briefly by Jinx before she reveals herself to Vi in the Temple, talking about a bedtime story. But the figure in the murals and the face of the Grey I assume is supposed to be her. It's only a little lore, but then perhaps that's all the show wants to convey, leaving an air of intrigue. As said previously, the Arcane lore is a variant on the LoL lore, so things may be somewhat different.

as much as i love caitvi relationship as they are star crossed lover symbolism. Caitlyn is in a fucked up mind state now. Vi need to learn what it feel to be abandonned as to reconcyle herself both with what happenned with powder and how it shaped jinx. To truly accept her part in creating jinx. While yes her prison time were circumstances out of her control she did punch her own sister and leave her in emetional distress. As it stand now , Caitlyn and Vi need to reflect mourn and learn from thier action. Before I say anything also, was watching back when victor has a nosebleed it drops blood down to the hex core at the bottom which is why himendger says he’s changed when we are shown him looking at the small one he made. This whole episode had me on the edge of my seat the whole time! Also the music, the transitions. The blink between the arcane and the fight in I forget her name the wind gods old temple was such a connecting twist. The little girl has my heart.

Just a quick note. All of their hextech weaponry just massively glitch out, enough to even hurt the user or anyone touching it. Its hard to trust kaitlyn aim if the weapon glitch again. This would be a different story if Kaitlyn just had a spare gun on her person 😅

Lest is part of a race called the Vastaya, humanoids with animal features and a strong connection to the Spirit Realm. The way I see it. It wasn't released on mass, but targeted towards covering the squad's path. And once they cleared an area, it is vented and sealed into the underground vault through the ventilation system that house Kiramman constructed and control. So in a way this reduced collateral. This is confirmed later by VI during her confrontation with Jinx: "We use the Gray to clear the streets. To keep people safe." But I agree it could have been presented better. I had to rewatch the opening of ep 3 a few times to get that.

13:00 Just to highlight something I found very interesting about Jinx in this scene: We know Cassandra had actually already built the ventilation system and that is why the people of the underground could breathe better air but Caitlyn slowly rereleased it from the big tank it was supposed to be left in. She used it the opposite way of how her mother captured it. Then in this scene, Sevika (following Jinx's plan) releases all the air that carries The Grey to the surface so that it cannot be used against Zaun. Piltover has more open air so it didn't affect them a lot though but at least the underground is safe from that now Jinx said it wasn't supposed to be this way because she had wanted to do this as an act of when she dies because she was ready to die in the fight. She had told Sevika to release it after that happens as a final good act (and a goodbye) from her. I truly believe that in episode 2, when Jinx says 'to finish what's left of my family,' she is referring to herself. Let's remember that Jinx always plans to die; let's not forget the scene with Ekko. She herself confirms it: 'Cause no matter what I do, I just can't seem to die.' It seems like she is a jinx to everyone except herself. I guess in the next act we will see how this action of Jinx (who didn't plan to be alive to see it) impacts the population of Zaun and herself

I have never seen fellow queers think cait and vi was subtle in season 1, it was mostly straight men completely missing/ignoring it. The whole brothel scene confirmed both their sexualites and their attraction to each other, the rest of the episodes were just flirting, bonding, cheek caressing and then almost kissing, in episode 8 they practically broke up without even starting dating (like every lesbian does) "oil and water, top and bottom wasnt meant to be" and then finally, in the last episode jinx calls caitlyn vi's girlfriend. But I guess since many people missed their whole romance plot next time they shouldve said this in a loud monotone robotic voice: "I am a lesbiana, I like this girl romantically and sexuality, beep beep 🤖"

I think the main story is the Piltover/Zaun but Ambessa's adversaries back in Noxus are catching up with her. It is why she came to Piltover. She needs an edge and she thinks the Hextech might level the playing field for her. The issue is that this Black Rose faction seems mad powerful and they just got their hooks in Mel, which is all that Ambessa cares about. The last piece of her family. SO she just nudged an already unstable Piltover/Zaun into a war but in the end I don't think it will help her. She is going to have to sacrifice something for Mel. On top of that I think wee are about to find out that Hextech has an insane drawback, between the Jayce/Heimerdinger/Echo scene and Viktor's transformation, it feels like it is gonna be bad. Also, from a game lore perspective Noxus is insanely hardcore so whoever there is back home that made Ambessa run to "...the soft-spined idealists overseas: (her words), must be formidable.

It wasn't activated. Cait's rifle and the gauntlets were activated. If you watch it agian, once Jinx actually goes to fire it, it glitches and sends Jinx flying into a pillar.

So, a little background here coming from a LoL player, Noxus(the empire where Ambessa lives) has a lot of war on its back, a long rivalry with another region(Demacia), two mega invasions to conquer territory in the same region(Ionia), and an extensive history of manipulation not only in the politics of external regions, such as Piltover, but also in internal politics, with various types of factions, and the Black Rose is one of the oldest, dealing with magic, access to occult powers and pacts with demons. So in summary, Ambessa comes from a place where not only war against foreigners is worshiped but also war against one's own people, slavery and a complex game of mercenary.

It's become a rather hot topic as to whether or not Cait missed her shot when she hit Vi. She didn't miss. If you watch closely Cait hits Vi in her gauntlet. This is to get her to move out of the way. And Cait hit her there because she knew it wouldn't hurt Vi. Cait would also most likely have ended Jinx there if Vi hadn't stopped her. For those not familiar with her game lore. Cait is THE sharpshooter. Her whole thing is she never misses. Her shooting the gun out of the kids hands moment earlier proves that.

I love how Caitlyn used a cop move to take Vi out. Slapping her or punching her would've been better. Instead she hit her with the back of her rifle. A method of state violence inflicted on a woman whose life has been shaped by trauma CAUSED BY STATE VIOLENCE. This show makes me ILL.

I'm so tired of the writers giving a pass to Vi. Jinx gave valid criticism of what she's doing, Vi has been a straight up villain this season, they make Vi said crap like "I'm not going to keep blaming myself for something you did". No. Jinx criticized her for Vi's actual action. Vi sided with the oppressors.

I feel like you put half of an idea out there. If you are tired of the writers giving her a pass it must imply that they have done it multiple times at this point. What pass are they giving her? If you're arguing that they're trying to make her sympathetic I might argue they do that with every character.
