Nice step by step. Not the usual, "just put it on, tighten it down, and you're good to go" sequence. :) btw: just got my Coyote swap vehicle to grab stuff from, now the fun begins!

Will you sell the pickup tube and hardware separately so I can run my own oil pan on the Gen3?

I have gen 1 5.0 in my 2014 f150. My oil pan gasket is leaking. Online I find a gasket with the windage tray all in one piece and just the plain gasket. Does it matter which one I use?

At this point of doing this upgrade can I use a upgraded gen 2 oil pan?
@thereissomecoolstuff3 жыл бұрын
That was great Frank. I'm seeing my oil temps getting hot with spirited driving. Will having 2 less quarts make it worse? 8 quarts seems like plenty of oil. Especially buying motorcraft 5w50 synthetic. Any thoughts or is this just for drag racers who like to bounce the car on the oil pan.

My oil temps have been solid with this same pan. I do run an oil cooler though. This is all road course duty as well. Drag racing shouldn't creat that much heat but if it's boosted, more compression, and a combination of factors I guess it could. I would suggest a cooler to start if you don't have one already.

Hi Frank, Would this sump be an upgrade for track days?, ie: do you think it would keep oil around the pick up more effectively than the gen3 Pan ?

Does this retain the oil level sensor

Ok so after doing this conversion back to the gen 1/2 pan will this now fit into a fox body? specifically with a MMKM-2.1 k-member?

Is the pan the same as a gen 2 ?

There’s no way you got 89 inch pounds on those oil pan bolts. They just spin in the block…
