Wow this was great. My husband is from Scotland and I am from Yorkshire but we now live in Lancashire! I just love the way that you are both so positive - nothing gets you down! Not the rain, not the mice ridden bothy that you hiked for miles to find! not even the fact that you couldn't sleep in the landrover... You just keep smiling and having fun. Inspiring.xxx

Hahaha, yeah we tried to stay positive because it really was a ton of fun and we felt very fortunate to be able to do such a trip at all--but we ended up both coming down with a pretty terrible cold that lasted a solid week ; ) Hard with all that rain to stay warm and dry when you're hiking about! ---Lou

@@kitchenworker446 Hi!! I was just reading your comments and you know what? This about the flight is soooooo true! What I do now when i am fliying is drinking water every 10 or 15 minutes. It helps you to keep yourself hydrated and it makes the difference. I havent been sick after a flight since i do this. 😉👍

In Scotland there’s a right to roam which means that you can hike over most open land regardless of who owns it (so long as you are responsible about it), it’s pretty broad and friendly to outdoorsy stuff.

Also in case you come back we have a right to roam so unless you are walking through a field of fresh crops or attempting to walk round a small area of private garden next to a house you should generally have the right to roam (even if people try and use private signs)!

Amazing video again. I love the way you both seem so thankful for everything you have and are so positive even if things are a bit difficult. I think it was a good idea to sleep in the hotel instead of the car though! Don't feel like you have to do something because you were planning to do it that way. It sometimes takes a stronger person to change up the plan than to stick with it. This means you can be flexible and take care of yourself! Also I'm recovering from chronic back pains myself so I totally understand a good bed is important. I think it's so inspiring that Lou is already hiking, climbing and running! Thank you both for being so transparent about your lives, it's so nice to get a realistic picture of van life, not everything is perfect. Also very useful to see what van life or hiking in Scotland would be like, I would love to go there someday! Please keep being you and don't let anyone tell you that you should do things differently!
