that truly is my life right now. everything i value has been challenged violently. wow how i wish that life were simpler. these ending stanzas of St. John of the Cross' "Dark Night of the Soul' where the soul finds rest in Christ - The Self- after years of labor really hits home and i long for this: 'I remained lost in oblivion; My face I reclined on the Beloved. All ceased and I abandoned myself, leaving my cares forgotten among the lilies.' maybe someday we will all achieve this🤞
