Hey CGB! Thank you for the deck and the vid! Love me some Golgari midrange. Been playing this on Bo1 ladder Diamond 1/2 trying to get to Mythic. Got ran over my mono red/green too many times when Grazer couldn’t hold it down and no Nissa. I cut one each of the non-Nissa ‘Walkers and added 4x Easy Prey. Have been more consistent against aggro and cycling it to one Nissa land late game has been good too. Credit to the MI man! Keep on rockin CGB!

He had nine lands once he played the blast zone. 5 to cast nissa with 4 untapped forests to then tap for 8 and cast ugin, clearing the board with a minus 3 and then animating a land. Would've left him at 1 life but alive.

Arobreal Grazer is an underrated card. I hadn't played Arena since the release of War of the Spark and I came back for Ikoria. I almost never play red but when I came back I brewed up my own red with 4 chandra's spitfires and electrostatic shields. Nobody saw it coming and made it to mythic in a couple of days because if I played first with a good hand it was almost always a sure win. The one card that always got me was the Aroboreal Grazer because it could block my 34/3 Spitfire.

43:53 you top decked nissa and had 5 lands + 4 forests on board. So if i get it correctly u should play nissa for 5 without ur forest and and still had 8 mana for ugin and could untap a land with nissa to stop the district.

I think there are some unexploited synergies in Golgari - in particular using a Planeswalker to kill a creature with a bounty token from Chevill is a lot of value, and Vraska, Liliana and Garruk can all do that. Sacrificing Garruk's wolves to Vraska is also good.

I'm a little late, but my version of this deck has Casualties. It hits so much things. Good against Clovers and nissa lands. Even Annax makes a good target. But most of the time people scoop when you hit three of their pernaments and kills your own Blessing.

Ive also been facing almost exclusively monored in the mythic bo1 play queue and I swear to god it does not matter if youre in bronze, gold, mythic or whatever, these monored players do not play around anything, they just vomit out their hand and turn creatures sideways, at this point Im like 95% certain they dont even know what most non-red cards do, having seen so many misplays

I actually really liked the Standard 2021 content. While I understand the metrics behind it may not be as strong (they seem to be doing good though), I feel that it is a breath of fresh air into the KZbin algorithm. I'm personally 'clocked out' on standard right now. Whenever I play regular ladder it's just a pile of mono green and mono red. Sometimes I'm blessed with a mono white deck to change things up, but those decks are just as boring to play against really. Standard 2021 ladder hasn't had a single mono red deck/mono green deck. Got some brewers over there trying stuff out (or just copying your blue devotion, thanks for that). I do like the videos regardless. Maybe you can do some clickbait with "rotation proof" decks or some such.

Pre watch Prediction: You should have swapped out some of those 3 drops for for Cheville. Like maybe 2 blessings and 2 cultivate. Or maybe 3 and 3 and 2 Cheville. That way you don't have to skip the beginning game, and this type of deck is where Cheville shines. He's not a build around, where if he doesn't show the deck fails. He's just nice thing to have, that slows aggressive decks down and maybe draws you cards and gains you life while you are working for your top end. I'll comment again, for the algorithm :) after I see the video

Yup, there was 2 or 3 games where a Cheville would have done you good instead of a blessing or cultivate. To be fair, you won most of those games anyway, but I also don't know how many times you got run over waiting to play a 3 or 4 drop that didn't make the cut. I'm going to try this build, but I'll remove 1 blessing, 1 vraska and 2 cultivates for 3 x Cheville and 1 x sad robot
