I believe the little locked box with children statues on top is a burial 'spirit house' to keep the ashes. The drain is for when the shelves inside are washed with water.

last time we went we used the bus. much cheaper than an organised tour, car hire or a taxi... But you need to make sure you check the times as there are only a few buses a day....The number 16 bus goes daily, departing from the Plaza Triangular at 10:10am - first bus stop on the Avd Mediterraneo and costs €7.50 return as far as i know are the costs etc to date.

We have toured all around that area and it's absolutely stunning! You don't have to travel far from the debauchery of benidorm to find beauty! Having said that we do enjoy going down the dorm' for a stop over! 😂
