I always get a sense of sadness for these places just left to deteriorate when once they were so grand with such Craftmanship talent that very few even have anymore, I have restored 3 Queen Anne Victorians to original in my life and would have killed for a contractor with even a quarter talent they had back then.

Right lads I'm ready for some more laughs ... looks promising ha ha. I love Andy's little cute torch and how he holds it is so cute lol. Me and my dad used to go black berrying and dad would go through the nettles and thorn bushes and get cut up every time ... we weren't suppose to go in to the allotment to get them but we did as we didnt care. We have had many pies and blackberry and custard desserts in our time. Wish he was here to still go and do it ha ha. Seeing Andy going in that bush to get in reminded me of it. This is bizarre...but at 28:59 as Matt and Andy are talking about hearing a noise, Andy says “it’s a train” 🚂 ....then just a split second before Matt replies I heard a different voice, sounded like a woman’s because it’s high pitched...it says “mmmha”! It wasn’t Andy and it didn’t sound like Matt either! Was it a 👻 spirit voice??? Andy & Matt didn’t react to it so I’m assuming they didn’t hear it. Perhaps it was an EVP only and not audible to them.

There used to be a huge chemical plant , ICI, Imperial Chemical Industries and Yorkshire Imperial Metals on Kirkstall Road Leeds and those parts were manufactured there and most of Dulux paints. It was closed about 40 years ago . The term "Imperial " we still use for the fittings for plumbing. Brilliant vid and hope Andy's head heals quick , poor Andy 😉

I worked here for 10 years during its prime. The swimming pool section was built but never finished as that side of the complex was new and suffered subsidence so could never be used.

Just re-watched this again! My daughter's wedding venue over 16 years ago. The hotel was lovely then. The wedding breakfast room was next to the kitchen. The bridal suite and the room we stayed in was in the big rooms at the top of the entrance stairs. Reception was at the bottom. We had the whole place, including the separate Lancashire Suite, to ourselves. So sad to see it like this.
