The Chateau Adventures

Күн бұрын

We share our vision for the future as we explore the ground floor of the chateau, which consists of over 500 square metres (almost 5,500 Square foot). We reveal some hidden gems which we are keen to understand more about, including an old coat of arms chiseled into the stone.
The Chateau Adventures charts the adventures of Nick and Nicole (and their son Noah) as they take on a renovation of a lifetime to bring back to life an derelict 1,000 year old chateau nestled amongst the vines in the small village of St Julien D'Eymet in the Dordogne, so that they may create both a home and a business.

There are so many intriguing architectural details in your Château. Perhaps the circular stonework in the chapel area was for a baptismal? ✨🌞✨

There really are. I wish we had a Time Machine! Perhaps it was. We will keep researching over the coming years and keep you posted on what we find.

I don't comment because I am enamored with my words or opinion(s). When it comes building or renovating anything from a dog house to chateau I know absolutely nothing. I try to comment frequently because it is my understanding that this is beneficial to you and your channel. If I am wrong about this, I do wish someone would correct me and I will spare you further comments. Your first tour suggested to me that the task before is a daunting one. Your latest installment compounds the challenge that lies before you and takes the project to a realm beyond simply daunting. I might be wrong about this, likely I am, the first video suggested years of work ahead. The second video in connection with first takes the project from years to perhaps decades. I wish you well.

Hi Seth. We really appreciate the comments and I do believe they help (unless someone says otherwise). Either way, we appreciate your contributions. We hope that the renovations take 3-5 years rather than a decade, but we shall see. 👀

What a fascinating place. Is there a local historian or university history program that could offer some help into finding out more about the chateau? Sweet little boy you have!

I think some of the librarians at the national archives are historians by trade, so they might be able to help us piece the history of the chateau together. He is very cute ☺️ thanks.
