Whoever decided to demolish that awesome house it's insane. Put up new siding, refinish the painted floors, remodel the bathrooms, a new paint scheme and that vintage house would have sold quickly.

could be a number of reasons.. bad foundation, mold, some other toxic shit that'd make it cost more to remedy than building new... so many reasons to not want to subject your health to it. the dirtiest air/environment you'll ever encounter in life is your home. especially since we are constantly exposed to it

Old growth timber used in the construction of those old houses is worth a lot of $. Unless there was some huge mold issue (to which I didn't see any sign of) there is never a good enough reason to destroy such craftsmanship.

Homelessness is not really about not having a home. You can’t force people into a nice home and then things are all better. They need help with drug addiction, mental health and jobs that can support them and their families.

Y’all do realize that some old beautiful houses NEED to be demolished right? Things like water damage or termites can cause it to be unfixable and making the materials some may scavenge unsafe due to contamination. I do hate that this channel seems to lack important backstory on these houses… I’m assuming this is to get the comments section going.
