SuperBowl started off as a construction company. They always included their names in all the malls they developed, that way even if they sold it off the malls will still keep the name as it's been on Street Directory for too long for a name change(though Google map eventually changed that). It's practically the only way to advertise yourself efficiently back then since internet wasn't as common, and why all developers force their name onto all the properties they develop. Prime examples were Parklane Shopping Mall(SUPERBOWL DEVELOPEMENT PARKLANE SHOPPING MALL) and Kallang Bowl(KALLANG SUPERBOWL).
@yappyyap75942 күн бұрын
Many have explained the structure is due to the skating rink in the past. Many also recalled Yaohan but that was before I moved to Jurong (1999) but there was an arcade there and that's the only reason I visited this place last time (2001) accompanying my 3 godsons to go there to play 三国 machine, they claimed that it was cheaper to play there than elsewhere. Eye blink blink 20 years have passed. I'm surprised nobody mentioned the former Tang Dynasty City which was opposite the place cos I believe Hiap Hoe invested in this spot partly to target the crowd from Tang Dynasty (unfortunately only lasted from 1992 to 1999 after being "double-killed" by both Gulf War crisis and Asian Financial crisis). The soup looks damn impressive by both portion and ingredients!! Moreover, it looks so yummy! What a great deal! Jurong hawkers give larger portion in general is correct but I personally don't feel that applies to Boon Lay Hawker Centre cos this hawker centre somehow sell at higher price and smaller portions. I stay in Boon Lay area. If you are looking for larger portions, then those hawker centres or coffeeshops right at the industrial parks (e.g. Soon Lee & International Road) will not disappoint you.
