Well the opponent was elf so no far sight, or magic tower, which leaves crystal ball and goblin laboratory. Safe to assume laboratory in this case, especially considering the HUGE duration difference between lab (6 seconds) and crystal ball (10 seconds) (I may be wrong on durations, but one is 6 and the other is 10 I know that much. Far sight 8, tower 15 for sure, which leaves 6 and 10.

That first game was incredible, you can argue that attacking without TP was a mistake which almost cost you both heroes but at the same time you killed every single Dryad and forced two Staffs on the Demon (can we talk about how ridiculous it is that the cooldown is so low?). I've seen other games in Last Refuge where that same attack ended up going much worse so in any case your misplays were minor. Edit: my appreciation for the crit at 16:04 right before the Entangle, too bad you couldn't win with Bladestorm but at least you got that sweet level 6.

Well, his position is already losing at that point, so he either gave up the expo and face a slow death, or go for one desperate attempt to fight back. The idea is there, it is the execution that wasn't ideal with DH constantly mispositioned and dryads barely getting micro'd away when focused

you mention you should've only gone with 60 65 pop instead of the 49 you had. I was thinking maybe it would've been better to get your mana and health closer to full before attacking. Usually its better to creep but your blade was already lvl 5 and shadow already lvl 3+, the extra heal waves from shadow not being low on mana despite mana pot and having another 50% hp on blade and other units feels like it would've made a bigger impact than the extra creep camp that didn't even have the overlord like you mentioned. Maybe you didn't need 60 65 pop but closer to full health and mana. As soon as your ready to fight throw down the expansion since that money won't be realized in units immediately for the fight. maybe maybe not having a tp to be able to disengage vs dryads and entangle and to trade instead of all in. not sure on that tho with the cost. either way you most likely have thought about all of this and already do things the way you do anyway so i trust your good judgment, feel free to ignore my bronze league player perspective. I just like to comment on it since at the end of the game you mentioned maybe you should only be attacking with 60 65 pop in hindsight.

This was most likely just the Elf doing the Ancient of Wonders trick where you build an Ancient of Wonders with a wisp so it's temporarily consumed, then build a wisp and cancel the AoWonders so you are at 21/20 supply

Hey i saw in game Grubby didn't level up ulti on blademaster. My guess is that you didn't have mana and you wanted immediate power to win the game so you leveled the crit. My other guess would be that ulti is easily countered in pvp(which i don't believe in for now).

It can be pretty powerful, but blade cant avoid manaburn so not worth having bladestorm unless you want to buy a pot and use it.

Is it worth keeping force of nature once disenchant is out? I know we're always dunking on Thorns aura, but you look at that Blademaster damage and it gets you wondering if a reskill might be worth it...

The alternative is thorns aura which is ok against blademaster but useless against the rest of Grubby’s army. Force of nature also helped the keeper creep a lot easier

There is some value in trading mana vs spirit walker and tome of retraining is an expense. You need treants to creep initially and its not considered worth the investment to switch off of them. They can also scout and harass workers

@@unlivreunehistoire i have seen grubby badly outplaying the opposite player time and time again just to barely win. a testament to how stupidly broken NE race is. the fact you can run like a drunken idiot with your DH, tanking a billion damage, just to mana burn the shadow hunter all the way back and get away with it with staff of tele and moon wells. must be a real treat to be on the opposing end of this.
