I hope your whole family celebrate Christmas and New Year here in the Philippines...Filipinos begin celebrating Christmas in September. The “ber” months, as they are called, herald the start of the Christmas season with traditional lanterns being made, carols heard in shops, and Christmas gifts stacked high on shelves..4 months of the festive season are celebrated, from September to the end of December. The Christmas season in the Philippines is the longest-running, globally...

If you put lemongrass and a lot of garlic, it would taste better. Lemongrass would remove the smell of the chicken. Lemongrass uses a lot in the Philippines 🇵🇭 when cooking lechon 😊 it would burn the skin of the chicken when you squeeze lemon. Instead, it is better if you squeeze the lemon inside of the chicken and put the whole lemon 😊
@TiyoySawsaw1223Ай бұрын
Yes. Lemongrass. Not Lemon and grass (Spring onion) that they put before. Maybe there is no Lemongrass available nearby.

Usually in their cold climate country, a lot of peppermint leaves grow in their land nor lemon trees.. so I think, lemon tree leaves mixed in a peppermint leaves will do the trick.. 😊😊😊

@felycacal3882Ай бұрын
Sharing foods with others is not the culture of the Westerners. Even in other Asian countries, it’s not their trait to share. Only Filipinos are willing to share even if it’s the last piece of food . The Westerners eat in front of you but never would they offer their food to you because that ‘s how they are being brought up and that’s how their culture is. They don’t offer their house or their bed to you. They would tell you to go to the hotel even if the people involved are their parents or next of kin. That’s the reason why they have culture shock when they go to the Philippines because it’s their first time to witness how generous, kind, hospitable, compassionate , friendly and accommodating the Filipinos are. Maybe they would learn some of our traits , traditions and cultures while visiting our country.

I’ll share you my recipe for marinate: - soy sauce - vinegar (if you have the cane vinegar, much better) - ginger - garlic - lime juice - salt - brown sugar - sweet paprika (optional) - lemon grass (optional) That’s it. Marinate it for 24hrs Btw, lemongrass is not related to the lemon fruit. Lemongrass has a distinct taste.

I’m sad that my innocuous “curiosity” on Russian culture was totally misconstrued and that it conjured endless banter of opinions that had gotten way out of hand. While Andrei himself was cool and unconcerned by my demure views - his loyal followers who happened to be my own countrymen deemed my post “sacrilegious” and started bombarding me with unpleasant criticism. I became a Filipinez follower that day I caught glimpse of Andrei’s mom Olga having fun in Samal. I was a fan in an instant. She’s truly fun to watch. I’d like to make it clear that I have come to admire their whole family and I have no ill intentions of denigrating them in any way or manner. Nonetheless I will now avoid posting comments to avoid distressful misinterpretation. Thanks Andrei.
