The goal was to do some offshore trolling off the Florida keys. After catching some fish we move to vertical jigging and end this fishing episode with a yummy catch and cook. We catch tuna, mahi, snapper and jack. Which fish recipe will we use?!

If you connect to the small end on the tear drop jig so hooks are on bottom, it’ll flutter out when jigged.

Cool I was fishing at the north side of pennykamp on Friday actually saw your boat being pulled by a truck leaving carribean ramp caught a shitload of big Mangos (17+ inch) in deep channel I found boy they like Spanish mackerel fillets lol yo the maji majis are still out far huh

I once cut into a restaurant-prepared skate wing (northern version of your cow-nosed rays) only to have a blood filled parasite that was hidden in the meat of the skate burst open and squirt gooey cooked blood all over the fillet; last time I ever tried skate. Caught an estimated 80 pound amberjack off of Jupiter about 10 years ago on my cousin's boat (we had to chase it three times with the boat because I almost got spooled thrice). We wound up throwing it back due to my cousin not wanting to deal with the parasites and possible ciguatera. You are daring for eating that jack and dealing with the worms.

Heiko, I eat Almaco Jack! I smoke it. I blacken it. I fry it. It’s great! I just remove any worms which they don’t seem to be as prevalent in Almaco as they are in AJ’s.
