WE FINALLY ESCAPED FROM THE CITY

We caught a MUCH needed break from NYC at last! Simas’ parents invited us to go upstate in New York to the Catskill Mountains. Simas has been there as a kid but not in a long time while it was the first time for Avri to experience this type of environment. We went up on Hunter Mountain and saw some really nice, sleepy mountain towns, We even saw lots of wild berries, fruits and even bears!

Beautiful..Excellent..How enjoyable it felt to live vicariously through your eyes/camera for a brief moment. I thoroughly enjoyed this blog, from the opening scene of pppl packing a vehicle, reminiscent of going somewhere. It was a very nice build up for all that came next. Love the scenery. NY is such an awesome state. Do many different experiences just outside the hustle of the city. I hope you will be able to visit Niagara Falls. New york is full of mountains and waterfalls.. Most people think its tall building but thats only nyc which is very small city actually.. The rest of new york is very much farmland and mountain, i use to go to school upstate new york, and i live in long island, new york my town is small and mostly farmland and beach..

If you say you are from NY everyone always assumes your are from NYC, and everyone thinks NYC is the entire state for some reason.....LOL But did you guys notice as soon as you got on the palisades or whatever what you went North 45min outside the city and you see how rural NYS really is all the way to Canada and all points in between.

Soo true, i use to go to school upstate and i visit quite often, i live in the hamptons in long island though, and when people ask where im from (those who are from out of town or if im upstate) people assume i live in the city and im like no, i am surrounded by farmland and beach, no tall buildings lol
