Starlink is a game changer for many people and is useful as a primary Internet connection... The fiber connection can be there as a backup maybe (I am a big fan of Plan B and even C). Why? I am literally tied to having a connection 24/7 as our clients are spread out globally... Good stuff! The mikes sound great... Handy and so easy to use, especially if you're moving around... Finally, the dirty kitchen area is shaping up to be a nice addition to the house... Dirty is a misnomer in your case... You've put together one of the cleanest "dirty kitchens" I've seen... This comes from a dude (me!) who has lived with the concept a LOT over the years, haha... In the Army, when deployed, camping in USA and Europe, and while travelling to austere and unfriendly areas, dirty (REALLY dirty at times!) kitchens were the norm... Anyway... Enjoy your weekend. Here in Dubai, we'll do the same... 🙏🙏🙏 👍😎👍

Thanks for the new vid.We finally after one year found a nice lot by the WFS.After a few attempts by lot sellers to do us dirty, we found a 1639 sq mtr lot in a much more quiet area.If all goes well ,we will close with our attorney next week.Thanks for the ideas and your experiences.

Interesting system with the Starlink! 👍 You can get the wireless microphones for a good, low, price, these days. I think my 2 microphones, the receiver unit, and accessories were around $25USD! 😲 They work great, as evidenced on my last video, where I interviewed "The 'Big Papi' of Walking Street', while Mike and Janet were here this week. The receiver of my microphones will plug into iPhone, or USB-C (my Samsung S24 Ultra), and this was the first time using them after I switched from iPhone to Android

We just got the Starlink, but I didn’t know you needed to buy a separate cord to be able to run it into a mesh network, so only my second floor has wifi. It doesn’t go through the concrete and steel down to the first floor and basement. I have ordered that cable and hope that we can get full coverage with our 3 node mesh network.
@Landmantx5 ай бұрын
Btw, the cord is available on Amazon if you find you need it like we did.

I would mount it onto some marine plywood and hold it down with sand bags. Seen a few people do it this way. Less chance of damaging roof.

@buildingthephilippines Question! If you are going to use that back area as storage and have the partition up, how are you going to conveniently get to that window to open it for the airflow you mentioned?

Seriously, Greg, what if there were a weatherproof, boot you can purchase locally . We call them witches cap in the Electrical world. We run all of the rooftop required electrical conduits to AC Units etc. using this method . To seal you use roof tar or heavy duty waterproofing adhesive to sealant around it. Not say never but 99% of the time we’ve never been called back to re-seal the witches cap even within a 10 year period Just a suggestion…

i thought the door and screen guys were going to mount the sliding doo directly to the cement ? not in top of the tile? maybe i am remembering wrong,, new microphones sound great
@buildingthephilippines5 ай бұрын
I thought so, too. When they were here to measure, they asked us to install the tile first.
@chriselmore19695 ай бұрын
That was the original plan, but in a previous video Greg stated that the installers said it was fine to attach it directly to the tile because it didn't get water there because of the covering over the garage.

Hi guys, question is did the roof mounting plate come standard in the starlink to attach directly to the roof using 4 mounting bolts/screws? My Gen3 is on order. Some sites say yes and others say you buy separate. How is the pup doing? My 6mo old Corso is already showing his protecting instincts. Glad I have experience in this field. Be safe guys, Joe
@buildingthephilippines5 ай бұрын
Hi Joe, it comes with a stand with 4 legs. I had a metal plate fabricated here locally to install on my roof. It will be on a future video this week. Prince is doing great. Really getting mature at 12 months. Definitely protective.

In reality, nothing in the physical world can be deemed absolutely perfect since perfection implies an absence of flaws or limitations. Instead, it's more accurate to view perfection as a dynamic and evolving ideal that continually inspires us to strive for improvement and excellence.
