My unsolicited opinion. I’m not affiliated, but sat on a board of a sportsman’s club for 23 yrs. A good turnover on a BOD is a good thing. I stayed too long, but they didn’t let me resign. The officer positions were up for election every two yrs and it worked. Hope everyone involved finds better times. Ben, appreciate your content. Down to earth and straight forward. Best

You have my thanks. You saw these problems coming before many and tried to work within the system until getting banned. Even after getting banned you have been consistent in your position that the org deserves better leadership and not another shooting organization.

Of my two local clubs that host matches, one of them got fed up with not having classifiers, and so a few months ago a new match director brought back USPSA. The other club just announced that as a result of the recent A2 election, they’ll be returning to USPSA next week. I was fine with the protests, but I’m also happy to continue getting classified.

The best explanation I can imagine for Rizzi’s motions (honestly guessing but trying to presume good faith) is preserving competitively-sensitive financials and/or contract value financials now that there is bona fide competition in the market (PCSL). Business-wise, there is an appropriate limit to transparency when you have a competitor looking to replace you.

I always enjoy the latest reality check from Ben on the USPSA BOD. If you shoot USPSA long enough you see the Man Behind the Curtain: the USPSA Zealots, the "Never criticize USPA" 11th commandment (It's in the bible somewhere I've heard) and so on. 🤔 I filed bankruptcy and made a fuçl< ton of money, it might not sound smart on small scale but with the anmount of money we were dealing with, filing bankruptcy was a really good financial decision. Im not ashamed of that at all. If you know you know 🤷🏻‍♂️

Depending on the riskieness of the business venture embarked upon, having multiple bankruptcies isn't too big of a deal. Now, that is with the caveat that he has more successful businesses in his CV than ones that went under. Regardless, his job security lies in how well he performs. Everyone is replaceable, and A LOT of eyes are going to be on this guy, so the incentive to over-deliver and prove the haters wrong may actually be a good thing.
