In todays video we finally got a stingray! Anytime we visit ‪@TopShelfAquatics‬ it’s a great trip! Someone actually purchased this for us and surprised me when I walked into the Fish store. Along with the stingray, we also grabbed a couple other things for the reef aquarium, and updated you on some of the animals here at the farm! Paul another great video! I’ve been watch you for years and you even got me in the hobby! I have 2 tanks at the age of 13. One a 75 Oscar tank and a 29 planted tank. I was wondering if you could help me out and my local fish store? I live near Antlanta. I know it’s a long drive but my fish store has a massive remora. Corals are my favorite when it comes to any type of aquarium keeping. I also love many tropical saltwater fish. I want a massive coral pond myself. Take PCs pond size and make a giant coral tank if I can! I watched the pond builds here and Gio's channel. I think it would be pretty simple to build one from wood and fiberglass. I have experience with construction, epoxy, paint and many other things that would make it simple to do. I also have my husband that can help if needed. Lol

Hey Paul I've been watching you for a good couple of years now But I want to tell you that I went swimming with a bunch of sting rays in a big pond and a shark and ray centre here in Australia I also swam with the sharks but I was so much more into the sting rays They still were fully barbed and as gentle as can be This one ray would come to me for a scratch and pat and swim off again and then come straight back and sit on me while I was sitting up to my chest in the water They get to know you You will have a fantastic relationship with your new sting ray KC So enjoy every moment I cant wait to watch All the love in the world 🌎 ❤️ 💙 from Australia

Paul i commented on other videos too but you should, AFTER YOUR SATISFIED WITH THE SALTWATER PONDS, do a similar thing with freshwater fish. A colorful pond and a predatory pomd. have you considered seaweed aeration? drills holes in the soil/clay and fills it with seaweed which helps with drainage

Take a filter sock and put it on the outflow of that skimmer and it will probably keep those micro bubbles out.

They won’t go in it to get out of the weather. Ratites will just sit and hunker down through storms. They won’t run to it during rain or for shade. They are from Australia so they do well in Floridas climate. And they love water.

Yes Paul. The skin as you know on sharks is like sandpaper and thr Remora can't make abrasions, now on fish it's softer scales on soft skin and will damage and even make a sore,which invites secondary infections. It will be cool on your Blacktips

Pretty sure someone's already mentioned it, but, if they haven't already, remoras can be quite aggressive when they latch onto bigger fish like in the video. Sometimes this may end up causing stress to the fish that they are latching onto, and they will cause some scale damage like that of in the video. You can remedy this problem by either removing the remora, the fish that it's attaching itself to, and/or by getting a bigger, more desirable, fish for it to latch onto that it is less likely to harm. Also, IIRC, I feel like Tommy said this once before in a previous video, but I can't remember where from anymore if it was from here and/or Nick's channel.

Thought I pitch an idea and the remora I notice the small brown pond was still empty the thought came to mind that you could put the remora in there for a time being with maybe a placing fish to make sure it’s not hurting or leaving marks on the fish you have now

Hey paul before you remove the remora and put it in another pond could you please catch a companion fish for him (like another Jack) until you get sharks for him? Once you get him sharks to tag along with then put the fish back where you caught it from. It would make a great vlog plus give your remora a great new adventure. A win - win.
