Pretty much checks out. 7x14x2 = 196 cubic feet. General rule of thumb is 1 cord roughly thrown takes 180 cubic feet. And the back of your trailer definitely was under the 2 foot mark, so the rule of thumb seems to hold up. Trailer looks great and that dump feature is going to help out tremendously

Great trailer, thanks Homestead Jim! A small piece of advice, go buy a dozen cans of spray on undercoating so it doesn’t end up looking like all those rust buckets you were looking at.

I bought a used 2018 6x10 dump in beautiful shape last fall. The previous owner, an 87 year old guy had never used it in the winter. I plan on cleaning it up and using with under coating or spray on bed liner in the spring. Good luck with the new unit, I really enjoy your channel. More down to earth than many of the others.

I've got that same exact trailer, it holds 1 cord exactly loaded level loose thrown to the top of the steel sides 180 cu ft. It's an awesome trailer, tows really nice . Congrats, I'm sure you'll find it really handy.

Yeah no complaints at all at central trailer. They were nice, didnt try to upsell. The whole process was like 30 min out the door. That includes hookup as well!

@@HomesteadJay they a good 3 k more for sure but worth it especially in road salt states. But you can't beat the deal you got for a year end model. Bet they went for about 13 k

I have the same one,bought new in March 2022. Started rusting everywhere 6 months later,sets inside when not being used. They wouldn’t do anything about it,don’t cover powder coat under warranty

Single piston or double piston to raise it up , Get a solar battery charger I love mine just rest on box in sun cause battery dies quick

The only real downside to a trailer over a truck is that you have to tow it and back it up and the load gets spread out more. A used one ton is crazy money right now never mind new ones. Tack on registration and insurance and it would be a killer for someone trying to make a little money.
