Chris, one of the top 3 decisions in firewood is buying a commercial grade splitter. Another is buying a professional grade chainsaw. The best one was finding your channel when looking to get started in firewood. Nobody can go wrong by going back to look at your first videos to know you didn't always have the best splitter. Didn't always have a processor. You started out with wasn't really a truck for hauling firewood and still got it done per your stories. By the way, John brought me close to a cord of hickory in my latest load of logs.

Thanks for watching. Get that hickory cut and split right away, it dries slow!

People need to be educated on wood. Ash and Cherry are absolutely wonderful Firewood and the Cherry is great for Cooking and Smoking. Oak is hot and burns a long time. But a Good mix in each Facecord people would enjoy that more I believe

As I compare your trailer with other woodyarders that have powder coated dumpers, It appears that your N&N requires a much taller lift for the wood to be slid out the back. Would you consider that galvanized floor to be enough of an issue to consider having it powder coated ? If you weren't backing in too garages on a regular basis, I wouldn't mention it. Heck ,with all the air time you give the company they might offer to do it for the cost of the paint.

The galvanize is getting smoother now!

HI Chris, new to your channel. kind of mesmerizing. I process just enough for my personal use. I"m gonna ask a kind of silly question. What kind of gloves do you wear? I move a couple cords and boom, holes in the fingers. I don't mind spending money for good gloves but I've tried several kinds and just keep wrecking them. thanks, Chuck
@InTheWoodyard2 жыл бұрын
Two things that destroy gloves fast are firewood and brick/rocks. I have best luck with the KINKOs pig skin ones. But all gloves eventually get holes if you actually use them a lot!

A face cord is 1/3 of a cord. or a rick. An hour away from me the wood is 1/2 as much and 3 hours away in Chicago it is 2-3 times as much. Location matters.
