One huge reason to buy JHS is how Josh shares his admiration of his predecessors and is honest about how they influenced his products.

As a long time watcher, I'm stoked that Josh finally gets to release the delay he has been talking about making forever. As a Lucky Cat enjoyer, I think the Flight Delay is a worthy successor. I love the amount of features without menu diving, but more importantly, I love that this is not a limited release. I will definitely pick this up in the future.

just want you to know that you bring joy all over the world. now I'm completely lost in the pedal rabbit hole, but just a couple of years back you were the main inspiration to dive deeper. once you start referencing other pedals of yore, suddenly it means so much more to me: I feel connected to the history, to the community, not just capitalistic practices. I feel like everyone who enjoyed your vids in the last years, everyone who loved the positive vibes you shared, owes you at very least a dollar donation. but I don't wish you money or luck, I wish you to stay inspired. please, don't stop.

No kidding around, I paid like $65, with a gift card, the sale price JHS currently has for black Friday, guitar center having a sale, and $80 worth of points from using my gear card. Thank you JHS for making something that makes people genuinely happy. I wish that I could be a part of a team anywhere close to you folks.

Some reasons why I appreciate adulthood… 1. Wisdom to know when less is preferable, when simplicity is elegant, and when essentials rule your gigging board; 2. I have a little more income to buy this pedal sooner rather than later; and 3. Instead of my parents giving me side eye when I brought home new gear, my wife hears me say “Josh made a new pedal and I really…” and she says “Go ahead” before I even finish the sentence. Me thinks this will work for bass too. Thank you Josh!

I LOVE how you were so inspired by the DL4. I finally just got one for the first time (the mkii) and immediately dove into learning it. The Flight delay has some of the very best unique effects I’ve found so far in the DL4 and does it masterfully. The time stretch was spot on and the idea of using an expression pedal to influence repeats is brilliant. Learning the DL4 took a while, the Flight seems perfect for those moments where you need to get inspiration out effortlessly

This brings EQ on the repeats, a wet/dry Mix control, and two types of modulation on a three-mode delay, basically everything I've been looking for in a delay. With this much complexity, it would be nice to be able to save presets, but I get that it's a knob-twiddlers kind of pedal and I can dig that as well.
@michaelsnydermusic2 ай бұрын
That expression pedal effect did bring me right back to my DL4, which I still use to this day. That sound is my favorite effect of all time. Still waiting on that Line 6 Four series episode! 😉

Nice drop of the Ibanez L-Series DDL. I have the Digital Flanger. As a kid, that pedal allowed me to do flanger, chorus and vibrato. I was mostly using for the first 2 until I discovered JHS pedals and I really dug in deep on that pedal. I just never used it much in my metal and punk years.
