I loved getting to see Anakin’s full mastery over the light and the dark, weaving between the two to train his padawan. It’s something I had hoped to see in the new trilogy, a plot driven about finding a middle ground and balance between light and dark like Revan had found. Of course, that’s not at all what we got (not even close lol), but this story arch in this episode was good enough for me.

I always believed that it was not the injuries that Anakin sustained on Mustafar that truly crippled his full potential, but instead it was the immense self loathing he had for himself that made him weaker then he could have been. As a Dark Sider, hatred and rage for one's enemies are powerful tools that normally fuel a Force wielder's strength, yet hatred for oneself would only dimish a Dark Sider's power, as it limits their capacity for selfishness (which is the core root of the Dark Side). Vader was a broken shell of a man full of hate; hate for the Jedi that he believed betrayed him, hate for Obi-Wan for not putting him out of his misery on Mustafar, hate for the Emperor who led him to ruin, and most of all hatred for himself for all the horrible things he had done. If Vader had succeeded in taking revenge on the Emperor, then he would have been completely bereft of motivation.

You're not wrong, in the Legends, the Palpatine said that Vader's limitations were psychological and that if he could ever overcome them he would regain his full potential or something close to it at least.

I believe everything you said is correct but I also believe that even with all of this being true, Vader still became the most powerful force user ever. Above Yoda, Sidious, Luke... everyone. Vader was unstoppable until he came up against people he loves or once loved, his weakness has always been love considering it's why he fell to the dark side in the first place.

We didnt see a full potential vader because he was holding back on purpose. Closest we will get is that scene from the clone wars when he owned the 2 force gods.

This full-potential Anakin was only in the cosmetic sense. Skill-wise, if he was in full potential he'd have no problem defeating Ahsoka. Fortunately enough, he fought her with the purpose to teach her a lesson and to reawaken her emotion towards others.

If Vader never burnt on Mustafar, the galaxy wouldn't have seen him as a new sith lord who rose after the death of Anakin Skywalker. Rather he would've just been seen as a fallen Jedi

If this is full potential Vader, he's definitely trying to lose. Canonically, full potential Vader can massacre the entire Jedi Order while destroying Palpatine. If Anakin can manhandle the literal manifestations of the force with one hand each, then he should have absolutely no problems beating Ahsoka with a capital b.

This was all happening in Ahsoka’s head, so he was still a force ghost, but didn’t have to look like one because they weren’t in the real world. That’s my take at least.

I'm glad the spoilers were wrong, or the Ahsoka vs Anakin-Vader on Mustafar scene got cut. It didn't need to be long fight, because Anakin would have absolutely steamrolled her on Mustafar. It wouldn't have even been a challenge.

Well, if they showed the mustafar fight, it would have to be that there’s nothing Ahsoka could’ve done to save Anakin from the darkness he was in and for her to not hate herself over it. Another thing is that they might’ve wanted to leave it up to people’s interpretations if this was really Anakin or not but doing this would confirm the mustafar fight would confirm that it was actually Anakin. You could argue that this was all in Ahsoka’s head but Ahsoka doesn’t know about Mustafar.

@@Deathpool_04 Its impossible for this to be in Ahsoka's head because Jacen could sense the whole thing and even literally heard the lightsabers clashing. So yeah it's literally happening 100% lmao. The world between worlds is a literal, physical place, not just some abstract dream sequence concept to begin with. During rebels the mortis gods allowed people to enter the world between worlds. Now Anakin is beyond that level so he brought Ahsoka in to finish her training, then sent her back out

@@Deathpool_04 Nope, because it was confirmed in the Episode that Ahsoka was dead in the physical world. Head empty, no thoughts. This is also why Jacen couldn't locate her until the carrier flew overhead. Anakin dragged her back into the will to live in the world between, but The only reason Ahsoka was able to go back to the living world at all is because she didn't lose her identity after death. Lol. Did you miss all the extremely blatant gandalf symbolism and the multiple comments from the creative team and memes about how its a send up of gandalf dying and then coming back as the white? I really don't know how you overlooked that lol. So, lucky you. You were hoping it was the real anakin and it is.

@@ExtraVictory When did they confirm she was dead in the episode? If she was dead the whole time, doesn’t that contradict her being able to fight Anakin if Jacen can hear it? If we go with Anakin being real, I took that as him dragging Ahsoka into the world between worlds with her still being alive, not her being killed and being put her back into her mortal body after their meeting. Like they did with Ezra pulling her. She never got killed by Vader. She was just dragged into that realm but like I said, this time, it’s Anakin’s ghost. I’ve heard and seen the Gandalf thing but I don’t know much about Gandalf or the lord of the rings.

His lightsaber hilt is slightly longer in this episode than it was in ROTS. Great video, this was just an observation. To me one of the best things about star wars is the lightsaber so I'm completely obsessed with them.

People forget that Anakin’s original desire that led to his fall to the dark side was the ability to save his loved ones. He finally achieved that ability when he saved Ahsoka by finishing her training. This was full potential Anakin but with no interest in being the victor, only a teacher.

They actually weren't sith eyes, sith have yellow eyes. His were red, only the "SON" the Mortis God who embodied darkness had red eyes. They might be telling us he has taken the place of the Mortis Gods, Light, Dark, & Balanced, as the "Father" asked of him in the Clone Wars Series. Serving his purpose as the Chosen "One" keeping the force balanced.

Literally the best thing I've seen in the entire Star Wars universe was that scene. Well three scenes spread out but you know what I mean. I've had to rewatch it three times. I love Anakin and seeing him like that made me wish he actually killed Obi-Wan and Palpatine just to see where he gets to. After a long mourning process of hurting Padme. Actually makes me wonder what would have happened to Luke and Leia. Could he have saved Padme and apologized? Who knows?

@@tylerchambers6246 I said that in another comment. I said he was doing his one, two, three, thing when he was fighting her on the bridge. Hayden did that perfectly. He even allowed her to kick him. Hayden can play the part of Anakin until he tired. Idkw people always complained about his acting. His character was supposed to be offish. He was raised as a slave so many things he shouldn't be 100% about. He had no one but his mind to understand him and she was only able to because she intelligent and his mom. But, yeah I looked at it again and he was without a doubt just reaching her.

He was teaching her to let go of the past, of her guilt and trauma that she carried since the Clone Wars. She never processed or moved on from that conflict and Anakin becoming Vader. She was holding herself back, and he taught her to move on and leave the past behind, and that she needed to continue her fight or she would die.

In order to get a red lightsaber one must to crack the crystal in it and to channel all hate, pride, fear etc. into it. The Revenge of the Sith takes place technically for one single night and most of it is about murdering the Jedi in the temple, so Anakin/Vader didn't have time to transform his saber (and didn't necessarily even know how to do it). That happened later
