This movie is so deep and emotional but hilarious. RIP to Bernie Mac, Heavy D, Rick James and a few others from this movie. Eddie and Martin are an amazing comedy duo. This is why I would never want to travel to Mississippi because of crap like that being accused of murder when you didn’t do it.

Life is an underrated comdey masterpiece! Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence were comdey gold in this movie! Fun fact, Bernie Mac "I'm the Pappy!" line was improvised. He was so funny he had the whole crew laughing for real when they weren't supposed to laugh during that scene. But the director decided to keep the camera rolling! R.I.P. to the legendary Bernie Mac! I miss you brotha! 🙏🏾

'Boomerang' is the first movie Eddie and Martin did together. Eddie is the star and Martin and David Alan Grier from 'in living color' play his best friends. Halle Berry and Robin Givens costar in it too. Y'all gotta check that one out. Certified classic. Also, when Eddie said, "I know a bitch named Della that hit harder than you." It's a nod to his fight scene in 'Harlem Nights' with Della Reese. Another classic. Eddie Murphy don't get the credit he deserves for all the comedians/ actors he helped out and put on while he was on top. Real legend.

It's so insane that Claude and Ray were framed by the sheriff who actually killed him and given life in prison. The early scenes move well (although why was it necessary to send all the way to Mississippi for moonshine, when New York was awash in bootleg booze during Prohibition?).
