the gun looks to be a WWII M1 Carbine, the hole in the stock is where the sling attached. It is magazine fed .30 cal. I would love to see pics of it cleaned up

Hey Wim & Joopie ✨ I hope that magnet fishers like yourselves, get the recognition you deserve for removing so much rubbish from the water courses that you adventure in. We live in a world full of miserable moaning protesters who capture the news headlines, and not one of them makes one bit of difference towards making the world a bit cleaner. People will always dump stuff, and doing your hobby means you will find it all the time. Perhaps the likes of Greta, and their entourages should take up magnet fishing instead of getting arrested every five minutes !!, they might actually learn some life skills.... discover what is smiling, laughing, banter, jokes, getting covered in mud, & good wholesome fun hard graft. Finding modern guns is concerning, but a great highlight for you, WW2 & older ones are the better finds, and I love the barclay sign .....just take care guys! I am really pleased to see that you made some good money from the scrap cables, it was good to see the recycling centre at work....& Joopie gets a Pizza 🍕, You are both Honest, Authentic & Original chaps, who deserve all the best the hobby can give. I seen you used a winch and it would have worked better for you if you could fix a boom made of steel pipe with a heavy duty pulley at the end of pipe and weld a mount ing plate on the pipe for the winch you have to make a crane boom and hook it to the bumper of your truck or van .elevate the boom and it will work .my freind takecare and have fun 👍 😂😂😂❤
