My Wife's Birthday was also Oct 15th. I'm from Chicago. Love this video. Rode from Tampa Bay, Florida to Detroit to Chicago to Milwaukee and back with my buddy in 2012. That was the first time I rode a motorcycle in my hometown. Loved visiting my hometown on my bike.

Thanks Good Life Riders! Definitely lots of footage to go thru from all the different cameras and full days of filming, but it makes piecing together the story that much more interesting Sure takes a lot of time behind the scenes, thanks for the support!

What I love about your videos is you show that to start any bike trip (for those who think it's too much for them) is there's nothing to it but to do it.

I find it peculiar how these guys enjoyed the midwest portions most. But for us in the midwest, the crazy mountains and topography of the west is what we envy and would definitely enjoy more.

There was lots of cool stuff to see out there that was quite a bit different than we're used to! Something about those open stretches of road with nothing in between made for some great experiences. We love it all 🤘🏼 Thanks for watching Mr. B

@adammorgan7874 i moved out to wine country in sonoma a months later after typing that 😅 Ride my motorcycle 20 minutes in any direction and i am in places that people take vacations for. Kind of crazybut now i actually miss the midwest... cornfields... green everywhere.... little isolated lakes and ponds to stop at while riding... changes in weather. Ahh cant be happy anywhere

Hey there, you "Two Lane Lifers" I definitely enjoyed your ride US66 into Chicago, Illinois. Incidentally, I was raised in Chicago, went to grade school and high school, and also inducted into the United States Army in November, 1964 there as well. Wow your video ride sure brought me back too some memories, as a kid and remembering how i used to go swimming alongside the north side of Navy Pier, at Ohio st., playing hooky from school, back in the late 50s. I left Chicago in 1968 after i got out of the Army in 1967, and eventually ended up settling in Arizona. I tried moving to Los Angeles, in 1975 and couldn't stand the place and been here in Arizona for almost 50 years. I love the mountains and the deserts, and only go onto Phoenix to the VA for check-ups as necessary. And love riding my 2021 Canam Ryker Rally Bagger whenever I'm able to 😂 get on the open road. I haven't been on US66 yet except to cross it heading north. A friend keeps trying to get me to take the ride? Time will tell, although; I plan to go to Houston this summer, then to Chattanooga,, Arora, WV,, NJ,, and then maybe a 66 reverse run backwards, to Arizona, we'll see, I'm not there yet? I did Pikes Peak last summer, WOW! Also, if you-all, ever decide to do the Pikes Peak run be-sure to call a head and make sure their open, sometimes they close it off to the public. I know I don't qualify to ride with the Kings of Motorcycles the HARLEYS, with my little Canam Ryker Rally Bagger. But, I surely love what you guys do. Keep the Utubes coming.

Super job on the whole trip! The "Arch" is the "Gateway Arch" as St Louis was the Gateway to the West. It is 630 feet tall and is also 630 feet underground. You should have stopped. The Jefferson Expansion Memorial under the arch tells a great story and the trip up the leg of the arch in the little elevator is something to be experienced. The view up top is fantastic. Not sure if it is open with the Covid thing going but it would give you an excuse to go back!

@@2LaneLife I live about 30 minutes from the Harley museum That is a great place to visit I have been there a couple of times! Right down the street from House of Harley is IMHO the best Burger joint on the planet (Kopps) They have the best burger that I have ever had and the best onion rings! Where are you riding to next?

Cant wait to do this journey. Seeing you riding in Chicago though, gives me anxiety, lol. I am NOT a city person. I avoid them like the plague (totally appropriate joke for these days lol). Thanks for taking us along!!! And, I too am enamoured with Arizona....only been once, but there is nothing quite as extraordinary as a desert.

Coming at ya bit late, but this was epic! I am planning a solo run from the San Diego area to Milwaukee then reverse via Rt. 66. Your videos are arguably the best of this epic trip. Thanks. All good, thanks for tuning in! Route 66 was one of our favorite trips for many reasons. Glad you were able to check out the site and hopefully the blogs as well. We also did a series a year after this one, visiting a few Route 66 towns and staying for a few days each covering the local history in depth. We'll make it down to SD again at some point, thanks for the open door!

We appreciate that SublimeSubdue, there's definitely a lot that goes on behind the scenes to make something like this happen, let alone the videos and all the content. We're grateful we were able to make it work! Thanks for the support, we figured it would work great as a series ! We haven't heard much about it, but just read an article after your comment. Definitely is intriguing, and it seems like a viable way for creators to continue their growth and put out the content they like to put out there, and make a buck or two as well 👍

I live in Joliet Illinois. Did you make your way through the downtown area on the historic section? It's now an automobile related business that's painted bright yellow, but that's the world's first Dairy Queen ice cream shop. It still has its historic facade underneath the paint so it's still registered on the historic buildings registry.
