I watched each of these as they came out but somehow I am seeing things I missed in the full series replay. I love the crossover stuff with these guys too. Car wizard and Tyler Hoover and Ed with a little bit of TAVARISH now and again. Makes you feel like you’re one of the team even though you’re just watching.

Dear Ed, thanks for the great content. Subscribed. The lesson I learned from this video is unless you buy the car new, or it's literally a museum piece, you're best to completely disassemble the car and go through everything before trying to push it hard. Expensive prospect, but they aren't cheap cars.
@TheOystei17 күн бұрын
It's great to see all theese sorted, now just make sure to keep up on maintenance so they don't collect such a huge list of work at once again. Preventative maintenance is usually cheaper than repairs.

Definitely something I don‘t envy you for. These are cars for small guys. A majestic giraffe like yourself just always looks like they‘re go-karting. When Bolian says "everything" it just means everything that is absolutely necessary to keep the car driving. If it's leaking oil, no problem, just top it off. If the tires are bald, just drive it on hot days. His "everything" is a different English.

14:40 I was recently told by a national mechanic shop that my car needs a new catalytic converter (I don't doubt that I do) and they told me it would take one week to order it and that it would be $495 plus labor. I found the OEM catalytic converter (in stock at the store) of a national auto parts store for $195. That's 150% markup on parts

As a 20+ year VW - Audi Master Tech that half hour "What percentage" segment was total BS and just for entertainment. There are an exponential number of variables so no tech can tell you that you have X percent chance of a part making your next trip with any reliability. And they did not even say how long that trip would be.
