Hey Charvon. Our travel group flew spirt in the mid 90’s same day travel to Florida for cruises. Don’t recall issues. Guess things have changed greatly through the years. Definitely an amazing price. If you hadn’t paid prior , would it have been the same or more at the check in counter? What time is this? The airport is so empty & desolate. You just said 8:09. JFK in NY at 4 in the morning for a 6am flight is a zoo 😂. Not accustomed to the flight attendants making g announcements while passengers still boarding. Thought it was me. The seat 💺 did look a tad thin. Hotel triple ☑️. We are JetBlue folk. Past couple of years flights have been delayed quite often but we fly in the day before. Flying to Seattle this past July was on the plane on time at 6pm but sat 3 hrs on the runway re: flight course changes for bout 50 planes in line re:weather. Because 3hrs passed, taxied back to the gate to refuel. Stay on the plane. Then told get off. Then told now time has passed so need new crew. Then at the 6hr mark no new crew so flight cancelled; you’ll get an email with new flight. No one able to help. Emails came with flights with stops. Only 1 direct flight at 6:30 pm everyday and of course it was booked. In the 10 minutes of picking a flight at another airport they sold out. So chose cancel and refund. Now still gotta find a flight to Seattle. Luckily we were leaving 2 evenings before and scrambled and got the last 2 rows middle seat on Alaska air for $1500 🤦‍♀️ at 10:30am the next day. It’s now 1:40am. Took the train to Alaska terminal and slept as best we could sitting up. Checked in 7:30 in the morning. Grabbed a breakfast sandwich. Boarded and arrived at our hotel at 4:30 pm PST as the MAS was heading to dinner. Showered real quick & ubered to the buffet. Then we all met at 9 at a rooftop for a meet & greet. If we were leaving the day before, we would have missed the ship. Thank God I booked 2 days before. And we had used points with JetBlue so got refunded the $800 going but had paid $1500 going with Alaska. The flight returning with JetBlue was an hour late but we made it. Did get the points used refunded after I called and inquired. My nerves now. Leaving 2 days prior in March for San Juan for Virgin. Good thing is using the refunded points. Would’ve been free going but with checked bag and extra for legroom seats & insurance it’s like $115 going and $400 coming back each. When using points they say book one way instead of roundup. See you in 8 days😂

My daughter works for spirit airlines ! We have flown from tpa (Tampa) to Baltimore Maryland & to Detroit Michigan & back! With 2 adults & 5 kids & had no problems wat so ever!! I usually fly delta but since my daughter works for spirit airlines we only have to pay the taxes on the tickets .

Will be interesting to see the future of Spirit Airlines post bankruptcy announcement. It's definitely a solid itinerary from getting from point A to point B last minute.

I did spirit from bwi to Florida to Mexico! I had a great experience the second plane from Florida to Mexico was amazing the plane was bigger and updated. They also played games and gave out gift cards

Yay! Good for yall! Glad yall have been converted now! We doit pick our seats though, we save that money but they still sit us by each other. We were done with Frontier when they made us measure our backpacks. Spirit doesn't and we love that!

I’m pretty tall and those seats look super uncomfortable! My knees would be in my chest! Can’t beat that price tho for a last minute flight

I expeeienced that ...luckliy i was one of those who were on first leg of flight when it happened and wasnt stranded not able return home. Glad you finished your travel ok❤
