I ended up building one. New LH Tikka Lite T3x Stainless 300WM donor. Stocky's Stock with barrel inlet for Proof pre-fit 7PRC, threaded muzzle 5/8-24, and got that barrel, 24" from Stocky's Stocks as well. Year end sale - barrel: $751, Stock: $350, donor rifle: around $800 or less, Anarchy Outdoors trigger spring: $8. Gunsmith fee to switch barrels: $50. Shoots factory ammo in 1/2" 3 shot groups from the get go. But, I agree. I wish they'd hurry up and start building them also.

@@ReviewThisThing It is. It's my first rifle ever with a Proof carbon fiber barrel and the Stocky's stock is ultra carbon and feels like it weighs about as much as 3 feathers. It's very light weight, thus, it does kick a bit more but I'm pleased with it. Should be interesting to see what happens when I get around to handloading for it. But right now I'm concentrating on load work up for both of my new 280AIs.

I have a Mossberg ATR 100 in 270. They have quit making the ATR 100 back 2015. I believe the patriot took the ATR 100 place. I definitely like that Mossberg rifle.

Stretch it out. I would love to see all the ammo you tested at 500. I have a savage 110 7prc UL and it did not like any hornady ammo; outfitter 160, eldx/m. 1.25” + groups. Looking for a different ammo to try, federal is up next.

Don't forget to pick up the new Remington CuT 7PRC ammo and test it too. Most of us believe the CuT bullet is the Hornady CX bullet because Remington has contracted with Hornady in the past, back when they made Remington Accutip ammo, which turned out to be the Hornady SST bullet with a green tip. Still shoots great. In short, the Remington CuT ammo is their version of the Hornady Outfitter ammo (same bullet, different primer, brass, powder)

The rifle is a good one for the price. I did buy one of the Patriots like you have in the video. It did not seem to like the Hornady factory hunting load I was hoping for. So, I am into reloading the cartridge with pretty good results. But still in development. At $60 a box of 20 I am not wanting to go the try and see route. There is fun in load development not expensive try and see with factory ammo. I did see a couple of different videos with sub-MOA groups from the Patriot 7mm PRC with Hornady Precision Hunter. The groups I got were OK to hunt with at the ranges I hunt, but I just want better. The groups were a bit more than MOA. Thanks for the video it was a nice review on the rifle as well as the ammo.

I have that same rifle and I put mine in an Oryx chassis. I have only ever gotten 1 MOA + in the Patriot synthetic stock for ..308. Anyway, my Predator cerakote 7 PRC iwith Precision Hunter 175 gr ELD-X shot .64 inches (.61 MOA) for three shots, which is perfect for my hunting activities. There is some scuttlebutt about the Precision Hunter having a MV of 2800 fps that is 200 fps lower than the box posted 3000 fps. However, for the one guy I have seen do that, I do not now if he had the 24 inch barrel that was used at the factory. Just about any box is going to have an expected MV that is higher than what you actually get. They cannot predict every rifle it will be in and what the free bore of the chamber is going to be. If you hand load and even chase the lands, which does not always help, you might get 3k fps depending on the powder you get. I have heard of Federal doing well. I have some .308 rifles that like Federal and never did well with the Hornady 150 gr SST, which may be all about grain weight. They liked heavier ones, specifically 165 gr and 180 gr. So, I am already having good results with the Hornady 175 gr in 7 PRC but I may want to try the CX Outfitter for the terminal performance and exit wound it suggests.

Once you find a good load for the rifle, it would be nice to see a follow up with 10 - 3 shot groups have enough data to see what the rifle can be counted on to do.

Nice shootin' gal! I'd love getting a 7 prc. For now I'll be content with my Patriot Scout 308. Ghost ring with fiber optic front and 3 shot groups at 100 yards inside my fist, military surplus ammo. And that gun is a bit heavy with the 20 and 25 round mags... I lost the 10 round that it came with 😉
