Who knew that something like this would be right in the centre of this unexplored city! Diyarbakir is one of the most underrated cities in Turkey. If anyone gets the chance to go to the Southeast of Turkey, be sure to explore the Diyarbakir province
*Correction* - towards the end of the video I said that Sulayman (the son of Khalid Ibn Walid RA), was joined by his father in this city, but I believe this is incorrect.

What a thought-provoking history, Subhanallah! May Allah accept the efforts of the blessed companions of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم. Interesting to note how people collect the water from the wudhu stations. I was actually reading about another mosque (built by Ottomans) in Bulgaria, called the Tombul Mosque. There is a fountain there, from which people also collect holy water, apparently.

Wow interesting - cannot wait to explore the Balkans in more depth one day inshaAllah - so much Islamic History there with the Ottomans having been there for many years. And Amin to your Duas! There are quite a few water stations around Southeast Turkey which are meant to be blessed and curing water. But Allah knows best.

@JuberAhmedTravel also, sorry for adding an unrelated question, did you guys drive in Turkey? How is it? We're planning on hiring a car, but we're looking for a cost-effective way of doing it, collecting and dropping the car from different cities.

@@irama9344 no worries at all. So yes we did drive in Turkey. We hired from Cizgi Car Rental and we landed in Adana airport and drove all the way to near Sanliurfa and drove back and dropped it off there again. You can certainly drop off to different cities too. I really enjoyed driving in Turkey. Quite easy and fuel is affordable. Some mountainous roads are a bit challenging but in Southeast Turkey like Diyarbakir and Sanliurfa its all usually flat.

@@abdulhaleem7781 Wasalam brother. You can take direct flights to Diyarbakir from Istanbul domestically. Alternatively, you can fly to Mardin, Sanliurfa or Gaziantep from Istanbul and then drive a rental car to Diyarbakir. The last option is driving from Istanbul to Diyarbakir which is entirely possible but will take you 16-18 hours. My recommendation is fly directly to Diyarbakir and then get a taxi to a hotel in the city. Then put Hazrat Suleiman Mosque Hazreti Süleyman Camii into google maps or ask a local and that’s it. If you do go Diyarbakir, be sure to visit Egil as well where there’s supposed tombs of a number of prophets. Here’s a video - please share: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gWOvqnWojrdkgM0
